NOVEMBER ART CHALLENGE (Patreon)

Mandatory "What is an art challenge?":  Art challenges are a casual way for everyone to get involved in doing something creative, with no pressure or need to do a perfect job. It's not a contest or competition- everyone is welcome and all patrons receive the same rewards. Furthermore, it's not just open to artists, but to writers, video editors, sculptors or anyone with two hands and a creative thought in mind.

Oh November, the unassuming middle child between mom’s favourite “Halloween” and prodigal son “Christmas”. Like “The little month that couldn’t”, it swims against the current of tinsel and early Christmas carols just to give into onset holiday brain two breaststrokes in.

And so while you float adrift in the mid-season ennui, what’s better than picking up a good book for the ride? You know, like one of those you keep buying and stacking up and have been telling yourself that you’re totally going to read one day, for the last six years.

In the spirit of this ever growing collection that you are absolutely going to read, this month’s theme will be inspired by the thrift store sale bins where those books are absolutely not going to end up in.

With that, the format for this one is going to be slightly different:

Courtesy of a patron who posted this template earlier in the month, you may create a title using the instructions on the template, and then create a piece of media so spectacular, it’ll totally eclipse the fact that most title combinations will make you wish you were illiterate.

So how do I participate? 

This challenge is open to ALL SKILLS and MEDIA, such as:

• Drawing and Crafting
• Writing
• Photography and screenshotting
• Others (DM me if you have an idea not listed)

What are the rules?

• The work must be created specifically for the challenge
• It must be obvious that enough time and effort was put into the entry
• Along with your entry, you must explain your reasoning in applying the theme to your piece

Your entry must meet these requirements to qualify for points. If your entry does not meet the requirements, you will be informed of what you need to change or adapt.

Where do I post my WIPs (Discord/Patreon supporters only)?

You may post the WIPs of your work in #art-talk just to share and #art-feedback for critique. Once the image is complete, please post it in #art-challenge.
