I can't even begin to describe the work that went into this piece. If you thought I'd been a little quiet for the last couple of weeks, this is why: by long and far, my most complex piece this year.

So much went into this piece. From the initial concepts, to the back and forth with the details, to having to redo parts that just weren't working or adjusting the colors infinitely to preserve the mood. Also, there are 12 hands in this piece. Twelve. Hands. I normally dread drawing the two that come by default, so of course I just had to then go and add another ten into the pot because I just love myself that much.

All that being said, I'm incredibly proud of this piece. I worked insanely hard to push my limits and produce something that showed a marked step up in skill and artistic ambition. I also love this character, which was one of the first ones I got commissioned to draw way back when I started delving into art as a business. You can actually see the old piece from here, if you'd like to have a before and after reference. It's hard to believe that was only 2 years ago!

I could talk all day about this piece and everything that went into it, so please do let me know if you have any questions! Otherwise I would love to hear what you think of this- your comments give me life.

Hope you got an insane tip for this beautiful piece and that it will be available as print

Onyrica

I will make it into a print- just need to figure out the color balance so that it doesn't come out completely black. Printing is a hard one to get right!

You could do more than one version, one pretty dark and another more balanced ?
