Calling all artlings and would-be-artlings: my Artroom Discord (which you get access to just by being a patron) has come together to form an Art Study Group! This has been organised by patrons for other patrons, to support each other's development as artists of any level, in a casual and non-restrictive environment. To explain it better, here's the post that was made in the Discord:

Hello Artlings! We will be starting a bi-weekly study group starting on June 1st (more details below). If you want to receive pings regarding the study group (probably no more than once per week or two) please let @Onyrica know so she can assign you the study group role!

So what is this study group thing? I’m glad you asked! There will be a loose topic (or two) for each bi-weekly session that we can all work on together as a community. We will be providing you with the topic, some resources, and maybe some goals to go along with it. The idea is to have fun getting better at art together, while having a tiny bit of structure for those who want it.

Okay, so how do I participate? We will make an announcement (pinging the study group role) declaring the aforementioned topic, resources, and goals. You then pick and choose from those what works best for you and then you do whatever that is! Or, if you decide that week is boring, or maybe just not right for you at that moment, you can also do your own thing for that session, or even pick up or continue a past session’s topic. The idea is to post the work as you go (or when you’re all finished with the topic), either for feedback (in #art-feedback) or just to show/talk about it (in #art-talk). It would also be great if anyone has questions about the topic at hand, to ask ask away! Your peers are here to help!   There are no rules here--just do what is best for you, to help you meet your own goals, whatever those might be!

THIS IS OPEN TO EVERYONE, OF ALL LEVELS, INCLUDING PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER DRAWN BEFORE!  This will primarily be organized by myself (@Vere) and @Vaerigan , with the blessing of Ony herself. I look forward to learning together with you all!

I honestly encounrage you all to give it a go- whether you're experienced or have never held a pencil before. There is no competition, no hard deadlines, no expectations- just easy practice along your peers.

If you want more info, please feel free to pop into the #art-talk channel of the Discord (which you can get access to, if you haven't already, linking your account here). Otherwise you're also welcome to PM me on here!
