Glad you enjoyed this one. Some fun facts. Sequoia is actual the wife of jed whedon (joss brother) marissa And they are both the main creators and producers for the show so they decided to have her in the episode as a bit part so i enjoyed her character mostly because of that knowledge. She was cringy on purpose. Benson was featured more prominently this episode and he is a very interesting character to me in two ways. Without Fitzsimmons you can really see the team struggle with the science aspect of shield. Benson is barely prepared with what fitzsimmons deal with everyday. Fitz and simmons can barely deal and fitz had a psychotic break with how much stress this job is. So it is not surprising that he is struggling. He mentions that nobody has dealt with anything like this while true, simmons has dealt with hive parasites in season 3 so she would probably be more prepared then him. Now onto deke. This episode really highlights deke's ability to adapt and profit from his environment to survive. He stole framework (to make the most realistic vr game) and shield weapons tech (you can see them on the table) to make a huge profit in a year and it makes sense to me because something like the framework definitely work be worth millions in a gaming world. He also used his future knowledge, (those food pellets if you remember were what humans had to eat in the lighthouse and were engineered to have all the nutrients needed to keep them alive) That knowledge is also worth alot and he was trying to recreate it but make them tasty. And in this world deke adapted to that culture to survive just like he does in the future. Now you mention feeling like we needed more time with keller and that i agree with but i also realize that with the shorter episode count the show had to cut corners on the pace they normal go with plots. Season 6 plots need time to adjust to the change especially because around 6x6 they got 7 renewal and it shifts gears again. But what is interesting is mack asked keller if he was compromised emotionally and he said no but yoyo froze when she saw the bird on keller mouth because she was compromised. Working with people you care about can effect the job and mack seemed to realize this.

Honest question. Do you actually care about spoilers, because based on the Youtube channel content, which lately has a heavy emphasis on spiolers and leaks, then it shouldn't matter.

Well, I'm talking about the youtube channel and the spoilers and leaks that they do videos for, most recently for the upcoming new spiderman movie. If there's a possible script leak, casting leak, ect., there's a video for it. Knowing ahead of time that Clark Gregg comes back in 6x01 is no different than knowing whether Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire come back in Spiderman.

I like how Deke's company office has a lemon theme, given what lemons mean to Deke in his post-apocalyptic future. Trevor was wearing a lemon shirt. There were lemon plants and bowls of lemons everywhere. Lemon paintings and napkins with a lemon design. SHIELD's Code Yellow also seems based on lemons. Deke seems to have a type: Asians with a nature-themed name. Daisy and Sequoia. 5x11: When Deke makes his way to the present, one of the first things he does is hug a tree. 6x4: Deke hugs Sequoia.
