Terry Crews' first job was a courtroom sketch artist. He went to college on an art scholarship. When he was getting cut from NFL teams, many of his teammates would pay him to draw or paint a portrait of them. If you're interested you can google his artwork, it's amazing. He also plays the flute. There are many similarities between the character Terry and the actor Terry. In the beginning, Melissa Fumero (Amy) and Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa) couldn't believe that they hired two Latina women to star in the same show. They were sure one of them would be let go after the pilot...heartbreaking. I'm glad both of the characters are there. For as much in common as Terry Crews has with his character, Beatriz is pretty opposite of Rosa. In future episodes when you hear Rosa do her fake high-pitched voice know it's Beatriz's real voice.
