Thought you'd like this one! It's a Ben Edlund episode, so there's always a good chance of a quality episode when he's writing. I think it tends to be lower rated than it deserves not because it's not good, but because it's pretty bleak - not in the sad as f*k way that SPN fans enjoy, but just really dark. And they kill a dog!! I forgot this was the one where Lucifer finally got a foothold in Sam's mind again. I think he probably should have cut his hand again. My theory is that it just wasn't painful enough anymore to work as a 'reality anchor'. But Mark's having a great time as Lucifer and I really enjoy this sub-plot. Yeah, we're trying to keep you guessing in the comments! Keeps you honest!!

This was a genuinely good episode. The Lucifer stuff this season is generally quite strong unlike...some other ongoing plots. That's the frustrating thing about this season for me. Most of the same talent that went into the first five seasons is still there and still has the ability to make some good stories. Hell, I really liked the idea of the Leviathans when they were first introduced. This totally new (old) thing that there weren't a bunch of Deus Ex Lore books about. But, well, then the rest of the season happened.

I always forget how great this episode is until I see it again. Wonderful performances by both the actor who played Jeffrey and Mark Pelligrino playing Lucifer.

I thought the same until I realised they’d have real network problems showing cutting yourself to relieve psychological pain/trauma - not going to fly on the CW but it might have been good to show him try but that it didn’t work - cos I agree that Sam probably would have tried that given that the first cut’s effects lasted so long.

Basically you have only one episode left until the best episodes of season 7 start.

I really liked this episode, as I also never saw that twist coming. It would make sense though that demons would be attracted to humans with deeply evil thoughts.

This is one of the best of the season and sometimes I do forget how great it is, since it is pretty one off, besides the Lucifer stuff. All the actors, and the world-building writing, are super well executed. A lot of great things to think about.
