Oh man! I love this episode so much. Definitely one of my favorite episodes just bc of how ridiculous it is lol. I hope you guys do reactions of SPN more than once a week though. Cause it's like 15 seasons long lol... maybe 2 a week, if you can.

Yaaaas French Mistake!!! Finally!! Hang on a sec while I make myself a cuppa tea and settle down to watch. ETA: Enjoyed that (the tea and the watchalong). It won't surprise you to learn that this is perhaps the biggest fan favourite in SPN's entire run (tends to slug it out with Changing Channels for top spot, but there are other challengers too). Like you say, this could so easily have been a disaster, but they pulled it off. Jensen I think was wary of the idea at first, and was very adamant that they be "Sam and Dean" throughout. Obviously, lots of BTS on this one. Many in jokes. I think quite a few of the crew were playing themselves. That was the real stunt co-ordinator. Bobby was named after Robert Singer, but they originally only expected him to be in one episode. Oh, and Misha live tweeted those tweets as the episode aired. 😂😂😂

So excited to see your reactions, and y’all did not disappoint! No, that’s not Jared’s real house (although he doesn’t live too far from me, and his place is enormous and gorgeous.) That wasnt the Supernatural set—every place they filmed this episode was created by the SPN set and set dec people. You can watch this one again and again, and catch stuff you missed the first time. Like in the trailer, they’re on the TV screen, and they each WINK. A nod to not take this too seriously. And at the end, when they’re back at Bobby’s, Sam goes over and knocks on that beam...making sure the fourth wall is unbroken. And there is an extended gag reel from JUST this episode that makes me howl! So glad you loved it! Jared and Jensen PLAYING Sam and Dean PLAYING Jared and Jensen. The mind boggles.

To many, this SPN episode was such a thankyou/treat just for us fans from the writers/cast and is still funny each time we re-watch. Jared Padalecki kept that cowboy portrait for real :)

It was fun watching you two watch this. You appreciated it so much more than I did the first time I saw it. I'm a tough sell on the meta episodes, so this one is good, but I can't say it's one of my favorites. I'm just too invested in the actual story of the brothers and it can be troublesome for me when they get out of their world, similar to what you mentioned.
