Wow...this episode made me a mess lol. I had to hold back so much so I could keep reading the subtitles. ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED! Thank you to all who voted for this series before I started it. This is the first show I've completed (by myself) & the journey has been nothing short of special. I hate saying goodbye to shows that I love - I heard there's a movie & a 5 episode thingamajig following this finale - might consider covering it. For now, though, I do want to thank everyone who's here to watch this & who has been watching with me since the beginning. Love ya'll.

Damn man. What a fucking ending. This probably the most satisfying ending for a show that I've watched lol. Crazy that it's a happy ending but the main character still dies. Zero Requiem...I wonder if the world was truly united against a single threat that we could improve as a society. I imagine that the peace Lelouch gifted to the world wouldn't last forever. But I still love him, one of my favorite characters of all time.

A few things. First when Lelouch used geass on Schneizel he made it where he would have to obey the commands of Zero. Making him a public servant for good. There is the movie that show glimpses of how Schneizel and Cornelia live their lives. However, in my opinion the title of the movie kinda dampens the ending to the series. Further they do change a few things that happened in the series in order for the movie plot to develop. It's a fun movie but it's really not that important to watch. The mini-series you are referencing is called Code Geass Akito the Exiled. I mentioned this series under a earlier episode but it's a good short series with new characters that takes place between the end of season one and the beginning of season 2 but it is a bit confusing to watch. I wouldn't mind if you watch either the movie or the mini-series. I'll happily watch and support you on either one. I'm just providing context on what you might encounter. I have watched this series for the fourth time now and the ending always amazes me.

Jesus lol, you're telling me!!! I did not expect to be that overcome haha. I wasn't sure at the very beginning haha, but I think I think Lelouch is gonna stick with me. That's an interesting question, too. Kinda what Watchmen was getting at as well, in its own way - some type of threat that brings the world together for a common goal... Felt like Covid was maybe doing some of that at first lol, but it doesn't look like we can agree on that one either 😅 I do wonder, though. How long the peace in the show might last 🤔

Appreciate the insights my dude!!! And thanks again for watching along and commenting over all this time! I did not expect to be so overcome at the end of everything! I'd be curious to check out the movie & some of the additional content, but it's kinda nice knowing this is the main unit of the story. Especially with the ending, I guess I'm not eager to recontextualize a bunch just to get a movie going haha. Like the idea of peering back in on Schneizel and Cornelia, etc. so maybe I'll check some of this stuff out (likely on my own time), but I think right now I'm just happy to sit with & reflect on the series as it stands here. And holy shit dude, this is your fourth viewing??? Really appreciate you spending it with me :)) was NOT prepared for that ending haha, holy shit!!! Starting a new series up tomorrow, so here's hoping we can fill Lelouch's shoes 😅

Man, super late to the party on this, but this reaction really got me. Made me choke up thinking back to the bawling mess I was after this first aired (and all the many, many nights that followed working on the utterly impossible cosplays from this show). Thanks for sharing.

Lelouch was the true hero who sacrificed himself and made himself “evil” for everyone else.
