Wow...this episode made me a mess lol. I had to hold back so much so I could keep reading the subtitles. ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED! Thank you to all who voted for this series before I started it. This is the first show I've completed (by myself) & the journey has been nothing short of special. I hate saying goodbye to shows that I love - I heard there's a movie & a 5 episode thingamajig following this finale - might consider covering it. For now, though, I do want to thank everyone who's here to watch this & who has been watching with me since the beginning. Love ya'll.

Glad you loved the series! This is one of my absolute favorite shows, it is excellent in almost every aspect: characters, story, action, ideas, it's just wonderful. As for some of your questions: when Jeramiah was turned into a cyborg, they gave him the ability to cancel the effects of geass. So when he sees anya without her memories he wonders if it is from geass. It's insinuated that he erased the geass messing with her mind and her memory became more stable. As for the people of Brittania, Lelouch spent those two months basically stripping the people of the world of their wealth and stability. This was to encourage them to focus on social infrastructure after his death and the reclamation of his accumulated wealth. Most of the named brittanian characters either became social/scientific leaders, or retired to basic civilian life. As for Lelouch's men, the geass on them was broken (either by Lelouch's death or by Jeramiah I'm not sure) and they surrendered. My personal theory is that Lelouch used geass on all the soldiers and personel not involved with the Zero Requiem because he knew he could use Jeramiah's power to do so. This gave him two advantages: an army that would obey every order perfectly without question, and a group that could surrender and have the excuse "I was just following orders, I had no choice" actually be valid because in this specific case it was quite literally true. As a result, every member of his army is either pardoned because they were all under the control of geass, or because they "betrayed" Lelouch (on his orders)

2021-07-15 04:42:24 Info on the movie: there are 3 movies, however these movies rewrite the show like as in some things that happened in the show won’t happen in the movie. However if you plan on watching it’s a trilogy because in those( I’d say more but potentially spoilers). The third movie takes place after this episode(but different timeline). I will say I did see that movie without watching the previous 2 and still didn’t get completely lost/confused. Finally that five episode mini season thing(I don’t know a lot about them, because I haven’t seen them) the synopsis of the thing takes place the year there was a time skip a.k.a in between seasons 1&2. They are part of the series timeline so it’s your call.

Aw thanks man, glad to have you watching along with me!!! :)) I can see why! I've said this a few times haha, but was not expected to be as bowled-over as I was at the end of this. SO good! And thanks for clarifying this stuff!! In terms of intricate detail, this feels like one of the more intricate.. maybe most-intricate show I've covered, at least in some aspects. I like your take on these events, though! As far as headcanons go, that actually seems pretty sensible. One of the few times the "just following orders" thing would ring purely sympathetically.. I'm missing the show already haha. Hope you'll join me for the next one!!!

2021-07-15 04:42:25 Thanks for the info, my dude!! I'm curious about the movies & supplemental episodes, especially the miniseries that fills in the gap between the seasons. Not sure about reactions, but I may wind up checking that out at some point.. as for the movies.. interested, but I guess I'm not eager to undo the events of the show just yet haha.
