Great episode, great reaction/discussion. I'm glad you realised what Deku meant by hardest fight. Also when you think about it Deku and Gentle have a bunch of similarities. Also Deku like Gentle had a moment trying to save someone (episode 2) except unlike Gentle, Deku is the protagonist and things worked out. Also in episode 2 if you remember Deku got in trouble for jumping in on his own. Worst case scenario both him and Bakugo could of been killed by the sludge villian. Another thing in Gentle's backstory is that after he got charge with a crime. It looks like his family was harassed/shamed. It looks like one or both of his parent were forced to quit there jobs. I think that's what the quick "notice of withdrawal" that flashed on screen was about.

Also something I noticed this season is that their slowly teasing info for future arcs. Pay attention to small details they give out about the world/society's and history. Also how did you feel about the voice acting this episode since your still new to the subs.

Ahhh, that makes sense! Some of the stuff in that montage did flit by a little quickly, at least thinking back. But generally speaking, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much of an impact the Gentle plotline has left so far. REALLY appreciate the way that sentiment unfolds where at first you're like, "wait... I know he's had [technically] tougher fights..", but the more you think about it, they really are so similar, especially in a lot of the actions you've laid out here. And I love the greyness of Gentle's motivation throughout this as he truly doesn't seem like a "bad" guy, despite his move toward villainy. Not exactly similar, but it also made me think back to the Shinso episode. There's an odd mix of anguish & perseverance to that little plot thread that felt sorta similar to what was going on here, spiritually. And yeah, by the end of this one, especially seeing what his & La Brava's lives have been like, I really felt for them.

Good to know, thanks mate! Will do our best to keep our eyes trained on the important lil details... as for the subs, I think it's been great! Could be helped along by the fact that we had to switch for some particularly good episodes, but so far it's actually felt like a pretty easy switch. Great performances on this track!
