This two parter isn't the best that the show has to offer. But nor is it devoid of any very enjoyable content. There are plenty of elements that are delightfully fun, incredibly lighthearted but also deal with some serious tones too. The fact you guys are able to enjoy these, gives me hope for another ep from the second series. 🤐 I've always found that there is plenty to love about those episodes where you don't care for the main narrative as much as you might with other stories. So many more fabulous episodes to come, that these are inevitably measured against. Once you've seen some of those.... 🙂

I got my episodes mixed up! It was Episode 6 that truly hooked me! :P This two parter is goofy and childish but a lot of the charm is still there but the show definitely evolves! It's still finding it's footing during Eccleston's run since they weren't sure how to re-introduce the show 30 years later! There are some fun episodes coming up!

Glad we're eye to eye on this one! ..makes me curious as to what other iffy episodes you may be alluding to, but I'm sure we'll know when we get there 😅😝 although part of the fun of a show like this, to me, is that even a not-so-good episode will probably be kooky or engaging in *some* way lol. Either way, very curious to progress and see which episodes/elements wind up as favorites and what we'll wind up loving we have no idea of now... I'm still bummed the Ecclesodes are so finite, but everybody loves the Tenant, so quite curious to see how I'll acclimate haha.

Curiously the ep I'm alluding to is one of my favourites. But like all things subjective I get the sense that isn't a popular view. lol
