Happy Sunday, peeps!!

Looks like BTS has just dropped the title track to the upcoming 7th installment of their Map of the Soul series!!

I'm not entiiirely clear on how these rollouts work haha, but apparently this one continues the recent comebacks' motif of harkening back to BTS' early works - this time to their 2013 song N.O.  Aaand from the reading I did after the fact (lol), Come Prima is a musical direction meaning essentially "the same as the first time," so I guess that makes a lot'a sense haha.

Anyhow, they also dropped a little behind the scenes clippet to go with this, so I decided to check out both...

Join meeeee!

You should check out ugh, outro tear, Dionysus, pied piper, seesaw by suga, louder then bombs, my time(jungkooks solo song) also by bts..You don’t need to react to these, when you have free time check them out. If you liked the song ON you might like these songs as well.

So much love!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 the album is fucking fire. It’s 20 tracks but the first 5 are repeats for other albums. The series of albums is “Map of the Soul” this album’s name is “7,” as in a seven member band celebrates their seventh anniversary since debut, and the song is titled “ON.” This whole album is very reflective and filled with references to many many older songs. They said the title for “ON” came about as a play on reversing their old song title “N.O” Kinetic manifesto I think is just a badass way to say dance version as they will be having another MV for this song coming out on Friday. The rest I haven’t figured out, but I’m also not one of the clever one’s who goes Easter egg hunting

Oh, man, I second "ugh" and "louder than bombs," both are legit

You were right about who was who. The only one that you didn't name was Jimin. He was the other one dressed in all white. V's tattoos are temporary, just for this video. The one on his face says "The Shadow Like Me" and the one on his neck is a bunch of cracks, kind of like cracks on the ground when it's really dried out. Also, did you say that it's difficult to tag V on YouTube? I'm sorry, but I don't have time to rewatch it right now to verify that but, if so, you can always tag it with his real first name, Taehyung. Even Taehyung, himself, will search for his first name, as well as his stage name of V, when he's looking for messages and comments to or about him. Great reaction, btw. This is one of the reasons why I enjoy watching your channel so much.

2021-07-15 04:53:18 Ahhh you really are spoiling us with all the BTS John! Laura explained it all above, but just to add “Come Prima” is latin for “As Before” I understand it as “back to the beginning” which is explained by the way they were inspired to look back on their early track “N.O” and call this one “ON”. And they shot this at at Sepulveda Dam in the San Fernando Valley! I believe it’s been used in film and TV a lot. There are so many live instruments layered on this track as well as on the album. The UCLA marching band had a hand in some of the brass too! I love this track they were laser focused in this one. There’s another video on BANGTANTV you should watch if you’re curious about how this was made bc it highlights and credits all the people who helped record and mix the choir vocals and instruments on the album it’s called BTS “ON” Commentary Film: Dialogue” you don’t have to react but it just shows how much they put into the album! And it has some clips of them recording in LA back in 2014. Lol I don’t think it’s like NIN, but they usually put out 2 or 3 albums per theme. The School Trilogy (O!RUL8,2?, 2 Cool 4 Skool, Skool Luv Affair), The Dissatisfied Youth Trilogy (Dark & Wild, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Parts 1&2), The Wings Era (Wings, You Never Walk Alone) The Love Yourself Trilogy (Her, Tear, Answer) and now we have Map of the Soul (Persona, 7). All the new tracks on 7 are so good some of their best yet! Looking forward to Carpool Karaoke!
