i think i told you this before but from the start of season 2 the "arcs" of the seasons are the two different halfs of the season. We defeated Whitehall the big bad of this arc so the next arc explores a new challenge. A interesting fact to know is the song cal is singing is called "daisy bell" we first heard it in skyes' dream last episode. its a hint that her name is daisy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AEIvmZ1mRc

If you think of AoS as a show with 5 checkpoints this feels like checkpoint 2. In Season 1 when the Winter Soldier tie in happens the show cashes in all its checks. It's kind of like a deal you're making like "hey you invested in some pretty mediocre tv at the beginning of this series so now i'm going to make that worth it". But this episode, the 2nd checkpoint of the series, is more like..."hey you invested in this show but let's do something more." Very excited to see the next few reactions.

Ahh, that's right! So it's like getting 2 seasons in one sorta. Excite to see what we're moving onto. And thanks for pointing that out about the song! Definitely would not have caught that haha, but a very cool clue. Still loving what Kyle MacLachlan did with that role.

That's a nice way to break that down, I like that! Definitely up for a little something more (not that I'm lacking at the moment in any way haha). It has been exciting to see how much the show's picked up since the beginning. Bet this would've been a hell of a cliffhanger to watch in real-time with the original airings.

Shoutout to Bear McCreary, the composer for AoS. (He scores so many of my favorite shows. He's probably my favorite TV composer.) That music during Daisy/Skye's temple transformation was amazing. I listen to it all the time. I got goosebumps when I first saw that scene.

Lol when this episode aired, I was losing my mind at the end. The music, Skye breaking out of her chrysalis, the little quick glimpses of Raina, then Trip breaking apart. It was too much. I literally couldn't wait for the episode to be up on Hulu so I can rewatch that scene. I played it over and over just to make sure I didn't miss anything. One of the most memorable scenes of the series and definitely another landmark moment.
