Marianne IS Lelouch's mom. So that's basically a reveal that this whole time when C.C. is talking to someone by herself it was to Lelouch's Mom. Which also makes you think...Lelouch has been running around trying to figure out who played a part in his mother's death yet C.C. seemingly knows since she chit chats with her regularly. I liked your take on the morality of Lelouch's actions but for me there is a clear winner. Lelouch. Maybe it's because I've been a victim of racism and I live in America but what Britannia is just doesn't fly. We usually see the nice fun part at Ashford Academy but that's not the real Britannia. The real Britannia is the guy who whips his Japanese servant in the street.THATS the real Britannia and that's what Lelouch is fighting against. So as far as I'm concerned...all hail Lelouch ya feel me? What happened to Euphie is sickening but it was a mistake. Although one thing I always think about is...is it really a coincidence Lelouch lost control in that pivotal moment? I bet deep down he wanted to Geass Euphie just not that haphazardly (he didn't want genocide I'm sure). The scenes in episodes leading up to that actually hint he's going to lose control soon so there is foreshadowing. But still...I wonder... PS as always great reaction. Only reactor I know who can deliver a great post reaction discussion in a second take.

I think you should watch the last bit of this episode in English as well, starting with the phone call with Suzaku. Johnny Young Bosch (Lelouch's English Voice Actor) gives a great performance. This is one of my favorite episodes of the show. Insane amounts of emotion and action at the same time and you can really feel the momentum building towards a grand finale.

Just to clarify there are TWO more episodes left in season one.
