i liked this episode a lot and i'm glad you did too, the only hint i'm aware of for butch being Grundy was at the end of the last season were they said his birth name was Cyrus Gold which i think was the real name of Solomon Grundy.

Solomon Grundy's Origin is fairly accurate with only a few tweaks to make it work in the context of the show better. I'm very pleasantly surprised to hear this episode is your favourite so far! Can't wait to see your reaction to next week's episode! I really do think it's the beginning of something great that I won't spoil lol
