Halloween did it successfully, Terminator tried to do it, but what franchise with multiple installments should do a sequel that retcons some of the installments out of existence?

After watching the review for Terminator Dark Fate I’m wondering if the events of Rise of the Machines and Dark Fate never took place what would you pitch for Terminator 3?Also would you bring Edward Furlong back as “John Connor” or would you recast Furlong?

After reading what the plot was for terminator dark fate, and being thoroughly disappointed, what would you have done for a sequel to T2? Also side question, have you watched the show Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles? I believe it's the best T3 we have gotten. The effects can be dated, but I remember it being well liked before it was cancelled after season 2. I recommend looking into it if you havent.

If you had to utilize a character from a beloved film/tv franchise, would you change that character’s backstory enough to fit the story, going as far as coming up with a new origin altogether? Or would you keep it just like the original version when that character was first created, no matter how ridiculous it was? For example: if I got the opportunity to make another Monsterverse film and I had to put Mechagodzilla in that film, I would have to completely change that monster’s entire back story because you would have to keep it believable in that universe but still keep the audience invested. Because if I decided to keep Mechagodzilla’s origin where it was built by humans/alien invaders, a good portion of the audience would question why and some would probably laugh at a mechanical version of a slow, methodical lizard. [Btw, my version of Mechagodzilla would be a metallic-alien organism that itself onto a Monarch satellite and reads all of the information it has on Godzilla because he is Earth’s most powerful creature. It then launches itself towards Earth to the Philippine dig site where the bones of the dead Godzilla was in Godzilla (2014) and begins the form itself around the bones and absorbs nuclear radiation within the bone marrow and becomes Mechagodzilla, a cyborg who’s sole purpose is to terminate Godzilla and other powerful threats.]

How do you guys decide whether to watch in sub or dub? The main reason I ask is subs are very difficult to follow on stream along (I'm already looking away from the screen to try and watch your reaction; if I'm also trying to heavily watch the screen to catch subtitles it makes stream-alongs essentially worthless. (the main reason I ask is code geas is my absolute favorite anime, but trying to keep up with both the sub and the watch along has made greg's reaction entirely unwatchable for me)) In the future possibly hold a poll to see if your community wants to see the dub or the sub? For the vast majority of the shows you react to there is a sub or a dub easily accessible of high quality
