what a great episode, hot damn

Edgar

Firstly, I cant stand Matsuda, lol. He's a but too obnoxious to watch, considering hes in the force as a detective. Also yeah poor Chief Yagami, you can see its taking a toll on him. Theres this desperation in his look, thats really well done , Overall i really liked the shot composition of this ep, some intentive stuff like L's face in a coffee cup .Overall I really enjoyed the ep, really good tension and fuckery all around with Lights plan, hahah. BTW does it bother you when subs and VA is different? When I watched your highlights , i kept focusing on subs and then when people started talking it was tripping me up for some reason.lol

2021-07-15 05:01:47 Hahaha I suppose I can understand that. Especially as time wears on, I find myself wondering exactly how he got to where he is within the police organization 😅although I do enjoy him as a foil for Aizawa. As for the chief, totally agree - they've done such a good job over time of really animating his physical & mental state. The man has true grit and I just feel.. so bad for him lol. Really dug the animation compositions as well here. The interrogation/detainment stuff is so stark & nasty - and then you have the more subjective ones like the cup - the choice to have the reflection speak, etc. Aaaand yeah, Light's fucking contingency plan and the ripples thereafter are so wild & peculiar, but I'm loving it haha. As for the subs, I can see why they might be bothersome, but I actually kinda enjoy the differences, personally. Netflix here offers two different English subtitle tracks & I think one comes from the original Japanese (if I'm not mistaken) rather than just a transcription of the English script, so I find it fun to see how the translations have been adapted colloquially for the English-speaking audience as compared to the literal translations. Doesn't change the meaning all-too-much, but contextually I think it's a fun curiosity. Sort of a low-key pop-anthropology lol
