"The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies"

This has got to be one of the most violent & sadistic episodes of Gotham I've ever seen... and it's WONDERFUL!

- Jerome kidnaps Bruce Wayne for some good old fashioned mental torture & violent exposure

- Edward Nygma reaches the final phase of his revenge plan & unveils he knows Penguin's crime

Simply one of the best episodes for me. Especially Bruces "I will not kill"-line and Edward going through with his plan Also of course Jerome. SO AWESOME!.. when I watched this episode when it came out, everytime I saw Jerome I was thinking: "Please dont kill him again, Please dont kill him again, Please dont kill him again!"

One of the best episodes if not the best episode of Gotham for me, everything from dialogue to the set design and make up was so well done. I could watch this episode anytime and always be entertained. Well do to all involve but in particular Cameron Monaghan, who is probably my favourite joker portrayal with Jerome. He's so dark and twisted and yet so fun to watch. The line, "Nice place you got here, you rent?" Always gets me 😂😂

For whatever reason, the Joker character never excited me until Cameron Monaghan took the mantle. He’s the perfect amalgamation of previous iconic iterations, while still maintaining complete ownership. The way he paints a scene with his signature quirks is almost like watching a dance. I loved the interaction between him and Lee when he held her hostage. Any other person would be terrified, however Lee was more annoyed than anything else and she wasn’t afraid to let him know it. With the hellish year she’s been having, the last thing she needed was for this psychopath to come back to life at her workplace. At this juncture, I would be over it as well. No matter how much the circus/carnival motif is utilized, it never gets old for me. The dark whimsy of it all is so appealing and this episode played that up to the extreme. Jerome’s twisted vision was beautifully realized. It’s always a treat to get a dose of this madman’s chaos. Something I realized from these stream-a-longs is how much I took Robin Lord Taylor for granted. I always thought he was a terrific Penguin, however, seeing him through a fresh pair of eyes has given me a newfound appreciation. He really is a sensational talent and a tremendous asset to the show.
