Thanks for the question, JUSTIN SUTTON!!!

WARNING!

If you have NOT seen "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" - DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO! Unless you don't care about spoilers lol

Anywhoo, we did discuss potentially putting this one up on youtube considering we're one of the few review channels that never put out a spoiler talk on the movie.

Generally, we've been considering actually putting up a specific Q&A on Youtube each month, this might August's!

Thoughts On Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Ending?

Thanks guys! You were spot on about the Bruce Lee portrayal. Before seeing the movie I thought for sure the Manson family was going to kill Rick and Cliff, then I thought Bruce Lee was going to team up with Tate to kill the Manson family. I really love the ending because I think it’s ridiculous how a small group of people idolize the family and it seems like the media focuses on Charles Manson and not the victims

Ended up seeing this movie 4 times in theaters. One more than Endgame.

It might be my favorite Tarantino movie

Loki Marcus

I did like that you get a few glimpses of Bruce Lee training actors for fight scenes and he seems like a really chill guy in just those couple of shots.

I'm with you 100 on thinking bruce was gonna be in the finale to team with Tate

Scott Severin

That whole Bruce Lee sequence was my favorite part overall. I had a feeling it was a daydream since Booth threw him against the car like a rag doll. Although I was definitely expecting the ending to be much darker, it subverted my expectations and I walked away impressed.

This has been my favourite Tarantino film since Kill Bill.

No problem, man! Glad we see similarly on the Bruce Lee side. I'd wondered in the leadup to the movie (and during parts of the film, itself) if Rick & Cliff would die instead, but ultimately I don't think that would've served the purpose. I think a Bruce Lee/Sharon Tate teamup would've been wild, although I think a bit too lurid for her memory. Definitely feel ya with the ending, though. It really serves to lampoon and undermine the family and then, by extension, the folks who seem heavily invested in their mystique. And actually kinda loved that Charlie only appears the once and isn't much the actual point. Definitely hoping to get a second go with it sooner than later!

It definitely has some aspects I think might be my favorite. I think it's one I'd most easily throw on just to hang with, oddly. Curious to see where it'll ultimately land in whatever my ranking becomes lol

Yeah, it was cool to see that realized. Imagining just a moment between moments on-set where he'd be chillin' and just shooting the breeze with everybody.

Y'know, that's a good thought, actually. We could just be seeing it through his perspective. Car gets dented, he'd be kicked off either way. I wasn't uuultimately sure what exactly to expect from the ending (other than not-history lol), but I think darker was probably more where I was headed. The lighter tones of this movie definitely left an impression, just because.. seems like there are so many lighter tones in this one than pretty much any other Tarantino joint 😅 glad ya dug it!

Not bad! Curious as to where it's gonna fall, ultimately, for me, but it's been on my mind in some form or another pretty much since I've seen it. It definitely has some of the things I appreciate the most out of his films. Good stuff!
