I hate that doctor so much he creeps me out! Lol it really does ramp up without stopping for the rest of the series. And they really make you feel the stakes in the next episode. Only 7 left!!

"Young lord, become the king you're meant to be." Fu's death really hurt. You're right about him and Lan Fan not getting nearly as much screen time as the other characters yet still leaving an impact. I'm glad they gave him this heroic death even if his final attempt was a failure. I think the little note at the beginning of the episode where Buccaneer acknowledges that if he takes the sword out he'll bleed to death is a pretty clear indication that he will die. He also gets this heroic death where he was actually able to land a hit on Bradley. The emotional response from Ling really helped sell the moment as well as that unsettling scream that Lan Fan lets out. The fight against the failed experiments is pretty interesting. They actually showed Mustang trying to use his flame alchemy early in the fight but one of the soldiers immediately knocked his hand away before he could snap. I think he figured they weren't gonna give him the chance to snap his fingers so he switched to basic hand to hand combat.

I knoooow, right?? Especially now that he's talking and has a full-on personality 😅 such an eerie character. And that is certainly how it feels from here! Crazy how close we are to the end now. My body is not readyyyyy!!!

2021-07-15 05:12:11 Yeah man, they've really managed to make Fu's death & contribution to the overall story stick with me. Really loved a lot of how they handled this episode, especially in the little details & character flourishes. Loved what they did with Buccaneer over these episodes. The alley-oop with him & Fu to land that blow on Bradley really got me good & was so rewarding for how that affected everyone in the moment. And then, yeah, the emotional responses from Ling & Lan Fan to drive it all home into our hearts. And good to know re: Mustang. Entirely possible I just missed that visual detail in the chaos of everything. Definitely makes a lot of sense for them to not allow him the chance, so if that's their strategy, I'm with it. Appreciate your feedback as always, mate!!
