oh man, that death screech at the end is haunting.

"You don't know anything about sacrifice yet you're the first to talk about its necessity." My favorite Olivier line in the entire series. Who better to speak about necessity than someone who's on the front line constantly and has probably had to bury dozens of her men. She is the physical representation of blunt force and I love her lol They really turned up the level of urgency. There's this feeling of constant movement that captures the chaos in Central perfectly. All of the reveals in the episode are rewarding. It's nice to see Ross back and the way that the Briggs soldiers showed up was badass. I remember you were wondering when Mustang's story would start to intersect with the others and in this episode Mustang IS the main story. It's only gonna get darker, creepier, and better from here though. The immortal soldiers are just another obstacle in a long list of obstacles that our heroes have to overcome lol

Olivier said ‘You don’t know shit’ lmao Everything about that scene to when the Briggs men arrived was animated so perfectly 👌🏻 I get chills at the end with the screams every time! Oh and that heroic track is called “Amestris Military March”

2021-07-15 05:15:03 Yesss, such a good moment!! She's, like, the truest-blue leader across the entire show it feels like. Effortlessly badass from a philosophical standpoint and whenever she moves to violence or something like that it's always swift & punctuated. So rewarding watching her flip the tables on them haha. Definitely feeling that added sense of chaos and urgency. Really feels like a plan coming together after ages and ages of planning - especially with characters from the past still turning up to lend a hand and all that. And god, the Briggs soldiers! Definitely looking forward to more with them, especially Miles. I shudder to think what other obstacles lie ahead haha. The immortal army seems horrific enough - that collective un-death rattle alone was super chilling! SO excited for this to continue ramping up haha... and also nervous, because.. you know there've gotta be some casualties along the way 😣next one coming in a couple days!!

Haha basically! The Briggs crew is one of my favorite ensembles on the show, so this was VERY gratifying 🙌🏼 and yeah, that death rattle is blood curdling! Appreciate the soundtrack tip as well! One'a these days I'm gonna have to pick up a copy ;)
