I love PATD! I gave the new album a listen, and there are a couple of songs I liked. I’m kinda surprised this one got a video because, to me, it’s not a very memorable song and I feel like some of the other tracks on the album have more interesting vocals and instrumentals. But, just as a nice tribute to tour life and fans, it’s cute. They did that puppet dirty in the end. Lol I’ve followed him and the band since A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, so listening to them always gives me junior high nostalgia. Did you ever catch the mv for Emperor’s New Clothes? I feel like you would enjoy it.

2021-07-15 05:15:18 Yeah, I've kinda heard generally that Pray for the Wicked is one of their more.. okay-ish albums. I'll have to give it a listen at some point, but I'm kinda with you here. I found it affable and pleasant to listen to, but I can't say I walked away from it with a ton sticking in my ear. This is perhaps a bit dark haha, but at the end all I could think about was that movie Only God Forgives (specifically when Ryan Gosling drags a dude by the upper-jaw) when the bouncer grabs the puppet by the mouth to escort him out lol. It's cool that you've been following them for so long! I remember back when A Fever You Can't Sweat Out had dropped and all those singles were making the rounds - definitely a nostalgia trip haha. Recently I've been really enticed by Pretty. Odd for whatever reason. And I don't believe I have seen the Emperor's New Clothes video. I'll mark it down & have a look at some point!

Pretty Odd is my favorite overall album of theirs! It’s always nice to find an album you can listen to all the way through without skipping.

Yes! I dunno what it was, really, but Nine in the Afternoon started to pop back into my head a few months back which compelled me to listen to more of that album and before I knew it I had it on heavy rotation haha. I tend to be an album-oriented listener, so it's always gratifying to find something that's compelling from front to back :)
