What GOLDEN AGE OF HOLLYWOOD Film Would We Do A Remake Or Sequel To?!

Evgeny Caruana

I think 'The Wizard of Oz'... it's still a great movie but with today's technology one could refine it to more detail and more stunning visuals. There were remakes like Psycho's 1960s film with Viggo Mortesen starring in it but the magic that the original captures was lacking. Maybe with Wizard of Oz there may be some improvement in that arena.

"Sabrina" already remade with Harrison Ford in the Bogart role and Greg Kinnear in the William Holden role. Forgot who played the Audrey Hepburn role of the title character. How about another version of "A Star is Born"? 😉

Oh, man.. that'd definitely be a tall order. I remember having a fair amount of hope for Oz the Great and Powerful back when that was dropping, but I dunno.. I feel that element of magic is REALLY hard to recapture. Although, if they did it in the fashion Disney's been making their recent wave of live-action adaptations in, I imagine the production value aspects could be pretty dazzling. The hard part's matching the resonance of the story and the chemistry of the actors, but... something tells me they'll try n revisit Oz again at some point.. we shall see!!

Hahaha yes, version 5 will be the one that finally wins that Oscar 😂 And that would be Julia Ormond in the 1995 Sabrina! One'a these days I'll have to give one or both of those a look - was the remake any good? I've not seen Sabrina as of yet, but I have seen Laura, so I'm going to give myself half a point for that lol
