Honestly not a lot going on in this episode. Just a bunch of exposition dumps that get us from point A to point B. The ending press conference does give us insight into how the world works and the relationship between the general public and heroes. Bakugo's brief moment at the end is really what shined to me. All signs pointed to Bakugo being most likely to switch sides based on outward appearance and demeanor, but here he is still thinking about winning like All Might no matter what's offered to him. I respect that he has this unflinching conviction in the face of death. "Throw yourself into traffic" is the best line in the entire episode lmao

I loved how Horikoshi really cemented Bakugos character on the side of heroism, even if he doesn't act like it, his ideals are for the greater good. If anything, this season is all about each characters ideals, as well as where they all stand on all might. Bakugo wants to win like all might, meaning he wants to be everything all might is, and that includes being a HERO.

And even though the laws in this world are frustrating, i think that's very well handled, because if people have free use of their abilities in public it would be utter anarchy. It's like everyone's concealing a deadly weapon, similar to what Shigaraki mentioned at the end of the second season. Genuinely fascinating.

I guess I can understand Greg's frustrations with Iida, but at the end of the day I think he's just trying to keep his classmates safe. He's overbearing at points but he's trying to take his mistakes in the past (which could have very easily gotten someone killed) and ensure they aren't made again, especially by his friends.

I love listening to you guys debate over Iida and Bakugo. Lol What’s funny is I essentially agree with Greg on how he feels about Bakugo and with John on how he feels about Iida.

This did feel like a more transitory episode. I do enjoyed details like the press conference, though. Things that flesh out the greater society around UA and all that. I know I rag on Bakugo some of the time, but he really shines for me when he's got a direct obstacle to confront - feels like they really know what to do with him there. And definitely relished the "Throw yourself into traffic." I won't pretend like I "get" his motivation, truly, but it was pretty nice to see that his general attitude even applies to the villains. Hoping for some killer moments from him comin' up!

Some good points here, mate!! Sorry for getting back a bit late, but definitely enjoying where this arc is taking Bakugo. Even though I don't know where it "comes from" necessarily, for him, it is super gratifying watching him stand up to the villains with that exact same gusto. I think we had some curiosities about the overall rules of the world/story, itself, but have really been enjoying the way they're also now kind of checking in with society again (like with the press conference & all that). Definitely makes sense they'd need regulations to keep the world from destroying itself haha - no gripes there. And I agree! Think they could stand to give Iida perhaps some other kinds of moments at this juncture just so that his character doesn't become one-note, but his motivation here is definitely sound. Sometimes you need somebody to be that "stick in the mud" when things get tricky to keep them from getting flat-out disastrous. Just shot the next ep. today, so keep a lookout for that!!

Hahaha aw, well I'm glad it's amusing at the very least 😅I do find it fun that there's that ONE character for the both of us. And that's perfect haha. You're having the ideal viewing experience of those two characters, then!
