What a weird Sunday I had...

One thing I forgot to mention: It's a strange thing to bag on me for not properly honoring guidelines when you do PORN on twitter which completely violates their guidelines lol

But curious to know, in the most sincere feedback, what's your reasoning for why you like Reaction videos?

I guess i like reactions videos for seeing people instant emotional response to specific things. But the main reason why i enjoy you guys' reactions is your personalities and how you play off each other.

In the UK we have a show called gogglebox which is basically just lots of different people watching TV. I kinda over simplified it there but its been going on since 2013, some of the people on it have even been on talk shows and stuff. One girl who was on it even went on another show called 'im a celebrity get me out of here' which takes famous people and puts them in a Jungle in Australia for a few weeks. People vote for who they want to stay in and the girl from gogglebox ended up wining. Its kinda unrelated to the video but the idea of it may help you guys if you ever worry about the stigma you may have from doing reactions. I've said it before, it's like a couple buddies who know their stuff came by and we enjoyed watching something on YouTube with you guys doing reactions. That's the difference for me with other reactors. As much as I watch the video for the content being reacted to, I'm there for your and John's insight, humor or whatever. What you guys are bringing to it. "Rainy Day Women #12 &amp; 35" Dylan basically observes no matter what you do or where your heart is there are going to be trolls and haters to persecute you. The refrain "Everybody must get stoned!" is not about getting high, it's about all the unwarranted adversity we often get. Sorry buddy you got caught in it again.

Reaction videos connect with me because it feels like we are reacting together! It’s like being with the gang, your friends, or whatever! It becomes a shared experience! And everything is always better with your bros! It can also validate your own reaction to things if they get just as excited or confused or whatever the emotion is! Besides, your reactions are more of a review of the content you are reacting to! In most cases, your commentary is very much a review and in that way is much more than just reacting during a video! It is all transformative and commentative work! You can see something that others don’t or provide a different take than someone else and open up multiple view points and expand the content that is the subject! You guys do work and do more than just react! Not that there is anything wrong with doing just that, but you all take things to another step! I watch you guys for your viewpoint, opinions, reviews, and cause you’re awesome!

I don't really care about reaction videos tbh lol (well, maybe a little 😝) I like you guys as personalities on camera. The discussion/analysis at the end of each video is what makes me come back for more.

I don't like many reaction videos. Like you said here, most of the time they react to the video and end it. I really appreciate the conversation that you guys have once the video you're reacting to is over. That along with personality is the draw for me. Even if I'm not into the video or show that you guys are reacting to, I'm confident the content is going to be good regardless. That's why i'm on Patreon lol

That's sorta the vibe that's made itself clear to me since we started this - it's like sharing a video with a friend, just with an extra step in the middle. Damn! I had no idea this existed!! It's funny, I feel like we started doing these sorts of videos around the same time. It's like a medley of reactions broken up by a narrator describing each show. And crazy that she went on to win I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here haha. Never watched any, but I remember when that show made its way over here. And for somebody who I guess never intended to get the gig on Gogglebox anyway (at least according to what I'm reading at the moment lol) she sure seems to have a solid knack for it. Appreciate you sharing this, mate! It's nice to see this reaches well beyond our little YouTube bubble. Gonna trip down a rabbithole later on this evening haha.

Really appreciate the love, man. Gonna have to put on some Dylan today! I'm always fascinated by pieces like this that are decently removed in time, but that still cut to the core of something just as relevant now as then. Does seem like no matter what you do, there'll be someone out there ready to say boo about it. I feel like, on our end, it's easy to get wrapped up in the work and the assembly, but it really does help to hear the value from the opposite side. The more we've done this, the more I've come to understand it as that shared experience. Hangin' with some buds, checking out videos like you might when you're hanging out - just on-demand with a screen in the middle. And just in general, it always really warms our hearts to hear that people come for our back &amp; forth. That's always sorta been the backbone we built this on and it's the most personal part, so it's really nice to know that that part comes through and is appreciated. Thanks again for all your love &amp; support, man. Really appreciate you!!

Really appreciate the kind words &amp; consideration, man. We just always want to feel (for ourselves, at least) like we've put in an appropriate amount of work and insight to make the videos substantial. I'm glad that stuff comes through :) And yeah, at the end of the day, I feel like that's what's really going on - it's like a more future-ized way of hanging out and sharing a video, or a show, or whatever. Comes out of that same place that compels us to look over at a friend during a movie or a game or something like that, to see if and how we're sharing the experience. Either way though, I'm really glad you get something worthwhile out of what we do. It's still always humbling to read the things you guys write on here. Really, really appreciate it, man. 😊
