This is why I appreciate the english dub. From Hawkeye’s emotional “you BITCH!” to Lust’s screams while being burned alive, it’s just so powerful. And I knew you would love the animation in this one! Finally getting to see Mustang’s ability at it’s full power is so satisfying. I also liked the ominous music cues after he kills Lust. Like, he won so it should be victorious or peaceful, but it just hints that it isn’t quite over.

Yeah that was a good episode. First time we are seeing how strong Mustangs power is . And yeah that whole sequence Lust being set on fire was top tier animation. And I really like that one shot of Al where he's damaged while still trying to protect Hawkeye, looks like a comic book panel. I think the only issue I had was that moment where Lusts breasts started jiggling and made that sound, lol. Usually FMA B is above those anime tropes, but now and then we still see it.lol.

Seriously!! I dunno how most shows shake out (I feel like I more often hear that people prefer the original Japanese), but overall I've really been loving the work that this voice cast is doing. Especially in the intense moments - HOLY SHIT!! The screams during the Lust/Mustang fight are bloodcurdling! And the quiet nuances as well, like you said. They're great at touching me with the quieter stuff and then bowling me over with the super-intense sequences. That fight was such an effective combination of sinister and cathartic. I feel like the music adds that dimension as well - like this isn't over, but also... just look at the level of devastation it took to win this one battle.. gave me chills! haha

2021-07-15 05:30:20 Hahahaha I thought about that too. It made me chuckle sort of, but more because it did feel out of place - a bit sillier than I've generally come to expect from this show. Although that followup with Havoc legit made me giggle 😅But Mustang, though, holy shit!! Getting to see that extent of his power is pretty incredible - especially after he returns with the carved up hand and Havoc's lighter. Definitely a highlight episode in terms of animation & catharsis. And that's a good call, that shot of Al definitely grabbed me. Right after Lust's just ripped his jaw plate off and all!! Really fantastic string of episodes overall with these past few. Hopefully the streak keeps going!!
