These 57th Expedition episodes have been intense. I'm one episode in front of you, trying to hold back and get back in sync but it's pretty hard to stay away from and not binge watch!

Haha I feel ya, man. If there weren't other shows to catch up on and other videos to edit, I'd probably be shooting like 5 episodes a day lol. Either way, glad you're enjoying it too!!!

I feel like the squad with Eren had no idea about the traps, based on their desperate fear induced faces, lol. All of em were in the dark except for Levi. And like while I agree with the themes and overall message of the episode , maaan I still think the pacing was all over the place . Like I get it, the flashbacks most of the time ruin the flow of the episodes while at the same time they add context to scenes and characters. It's just I feel there was a more graceful way to do it , ya know? But then gain Attack on Titan just swings for the fences, and usually it works out in the end , lol

Yeah, I feel ya on that. It took me a hot second to readjust to what they were doing but eventually I got pretty into it. I wasn't as bothered by the pace of the episode as it seems you were, but based off the constant feedback you give across the anime episodes - youre probably a lot more well versed in Anime than we are so your criticisms are arguably more valid haha

Eh, I would not consider myself a hardcore anime fan and for past couple years I've cooled off on most shows. But you watch a lot of shows and films, I think you can just judge how good or bad this show is on just general storytelling and overall issues and what not since it's still a visual medium like movies and shows. Maybe I'm noticing cause it's a re watch for me and there's less novelty than it was. Lol. I'm definitely not jaded or anything, haha

Ahh yeah haha, you always pick up more on repeat viewings. And you notice more of the storytelling beats and devices. What made you step back a bit from your anime intake?

ah , just life in general, could not binge watch entire shows in couple days lol due to work n stuff. Also burn out, when you focus on particular media for extended periods of time with no breaks in between , you burn out pretty quickly . It is nice to come back to it after moderate breaks and experience a good show to remind you why you like particular medium, be it anime or live action shows or movies or anything. It is a nice feeling
