Wait, not last February 22nd?

Ron Harrison

Got two. Was flying back to San Francisco after my first trip to Hawaii. Had the window seat. Two guys were sitting beside each other on my left. Talked to both guys on the flight. They were in a relationship. The guy to my left was hitting on me. HIs partner had no idea this was happening and was the nicest guy. Both guys were handsome. The guy to my left gave me his number and I did call him. But just to tell him that I couldn't hook up with him because I didn't want to hurt his boyfriend's feelings or ruin their relationship. The other is reliving being around my father in the kitchen and eating a desert he'd baked from scratch. He was an amazing baker.

April 23, 1988. I got married that day. I relieve it in my head often, it would be nice to have that day again.

We thought about it, but if we're being truly honest with ourselves... if we had the night to live over again, I think there just would've been a whole lot more cuddling. I'm talkin' like... aggressive cuddles. And we'd have had you intro the movie hoisted up on our shoulders... But other than that, we wouldn't change a thing!! 😉

Aw, these are really nice, man! What kinda stuff did your father like to bake? I think a lot of us would probably default to a simply fun or carefree moment, but I like that you also chose one that has a bit of a moral quandary along with it. You seem like a good dude, Ron. Glad to know you, even if it's just across the internet :)

Oh man, I can imagine. Where did you hold the ceremony? Were you as much a wanderer then as you are now?

Kyle

Those were great choices. I put this particular restriction on the question because I’m a firm believer in letting the past be. There’s so much of our lives that can only be truly appreciated in retrospect, so it’s nice to take a moment to reflect. Thank you for sharing the lovely memories.

Aw, no problem, man! It was nice to get reflective and reminisce a little 😊 I think I could definitely be better at letting the past be, but that certainly is a healthy philosophy and I very much appreciated that caveat (however difficult it may sometimes be to find an event you'd just relive as-is). You're a well-adjusted cat! Really appreciate the question!!

Kyle

Ohhhh, if you only knew how unadjusted I really am. All we can do is try our best and hope it’s enough.

Very wise, my friend. There is always more to be learned and our best can always be better. 😌
