Hey guys!

So, as explained in this video, we've been given the opportunity to host a LIVE EVENT at the ARENA CINELOUNGE Movie Theater in Los Angeles (off Sunset Blvd).

It's a small theater, but has great projection, and it's super comfty seating, just unsure what kind of event we could do.

Please leave your ideas down below - been scrambling our brains for days now lol. No idea what people would actually want to come out for!

Could Use Suggestions For A Live Event!!!

Ugh NY never gets any love lol. Is it possible to do a live reaction to a massive trailer and then discussion after? Or maybe something Mission Impossible themed before watching Fallout?

Here are a couple things I’ve always wanted you guys to react to: -Film Joy: Channel that goes in depth about a Movies philosophy and why it’s good. Smart, funny, informative; https://www.youtube.com/user/chainsawsuitoriginal

Does the theater have the capability to run Reel Reject content? Might be nice to see a highlight's presentation with other festivities.

Aw haha sorry!! One'a these days hopefully we'll make it out there to do something vaguely official. Would definitely be cool if we could do some kind of live component along with the in-theatre stuff tho!!

Was considering something Mission: Impossible themed, just gotta see what the situation would be with rights 'n stuff like that.

I believe they do have streaming capabilities, yeah! Dunno if we'd do a 100% YouTube-streamed show, but I think a portion with some special RR/YouTube content would be cool.

What about starting some kind of Reject Nation Short Film Festival? I'm sure a portion of your subscribers are filmmakers. You could maybe choose a certain number of submissions and then screen them there in July, and it might help you grow a different branch of your business too.

You could have them "themed" as well, if you're wanting to keep with a Mission Impossible theme. Might be a thing you could grow over upcoming years.

Definitely like the idea of doing some sort of film/shorts festival. Or maybe involving shorts in some way. Would have to find out more about the process for that (and see at what point we could get enough submissions), but definitely worth looking into! Appreciate your feedback!! :)

How about a look alike theme. Having as many people as possible dress like Greg and John. Then you guys could sneak around and surprise people with selfies or photo bomb them. Kind of like the big fight in The Three Amigos. Where the bandits can't figure out where the The Three Amigos are. You both are pretty good actors. How about improv. Taking suggestions from the audience. People always appreciate snacks too.

Reject Theater 5001 - A "Mystery Science theater 3000" like showing of a movie. Where you and fans get to add commentary to an older film.

Hah! That could be fun! Maybe even have a little prize or something like that for the best Greg & John look-alike haha. Or a photobooth that looks like the set.. Improv's not a bad idea either, I think we might just have to brush up a bit if we wanted to do something like that.. 😅

Definitely been considering that approach. Always loved MST growing up and it seems like something in that vein might flow naturally out of the watch-alongs n stuff like that. Just would wanna figure out an even way of incorporating fans if we go in that direction.

Well, since Greg hasn't seen the Star Wars Holiday Special that could be fun. I'd fly in to LA for that one.

thereelrejects

Hah! Now that would be a VERY special screening. Maybe when the holidays approach we'll do some sort of medley of wacked-out holiday specials!

Kurt Anderson

If you do a collection of bad holiday specials you have to include the Paul Lynde Halloween special with Florence Henderson and KISS. Yes, it’s as bad as it sounds.

Oh man.. haha. I'm envisioning some kind of weird series in the later part of the year where we do a medley of specials around each holiday. 🤔😂 Could be pretty fun!
