Harry Potter and the Shadow Realm Part 2 (Patreon)

“Reducio!” Harry smiled as Dudley shrank to the size of an action figure. “Nothing like a bit of practice.”
“I’m going to kill you freak!” Dudley shouted in a squeaky voice as he glared up at Harry.
“Not today.” Harry kicked Dudley, sending him flying down the sidewalk like he’d punted a teacup poodle and rolling to a stop next to the realm’s boundary some twenty feet away. He sighed as he flashed back to Dudley eating chocolate on the way home with him and the fact that he’s kept his word and hadn’t told his parents anything about the attack. “Yeah, that wasn’t nearly as satisfying as it should have been. You picked the right time to start growing up Big D.”
He headed back into the house, trying not to think about the notebook that had burned the last shreds of faith he’d had in the wizarding world. Granted there hadn’t been much to start with, but now even the remaining shreds were ash. None of the teachers had stopped Umbridge from torturing him and Ron had grown up to be the type of wizard that thought nothing of using confusion charms on muggles because he couldn’t be bothered to study. It shouldn’t really have been a surprise, but at the same time, he’d hoped Ron would get better as he grew up.
“That’s not even touching the fact that the only way Hermione would fall for Ron was love potions or spells,” Harry grumbled as he headed back up to his room. He paused. “Unless she has a dominant streak and just wants someone to boss around?” He shook his head. “Crazy thought, ignore that.” He slipped back into the real world and glanced at the window then looked at the closed door. ‘No notices or screaming relatives, which means using the other realm to practice works like advertised.’
‘If I get good enough to create a world I want to keep, I can place the portal in my closet. No one should find it as long as I’m ready to go when they come to pick me up. If nothing else, I can hang something over it. Now, I just need to figure out what type of Shadow Realm to create.’ He mentally ran through various words and combinations of words as he cleared a path to the back of the closet, trying to find a word or combination of words that would turn the reflection of his bedroom into something useful.
“Screw it, I just need something more useful than midget family members, like a magical aunt that is actually helpful or twin older brothers that know magic and could help…” he trailed off as he realized that there was no reason not to build his base in stages and that he didn’t have to make anything permanent if something didn’t work out. ‘I need a Potter version of the twins, family that will always have my back and aren’t afraid to cause trouble.’
He focused on his room and thought about pranksters, twin siblings, and what those words could mean. He felt the pressure begin to build and his thoughts drifted between the Weasley twins and the Patil twins, as they had started to sprout recently and had distracted him in class several times… Everything snapped into place as the words, “Twisted Sisters,” sprang from his mouth.
He slipped into the Shadow Realm then turned around and peeked through the slightly open closet door when he heard giggling coming from his bed. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting but the sight of two identical naked red haired girls sprawled on the bottom bunk bed reading spell books wasn’t it. He winced as he bumped the closet door and it made a creaking noise.
Rose smiled as she glanced over and saw Harry peering out of the depths of the closet. “Did you find the book you were looking for?”
“Sorry, I got distracted by the giggling,” Harry lied as he wasn’t sure which book he was supposed to be looking for. He glanced at the bookshelf next to the bed that was filled with wizarding books that he couldn’t see the Dursleys allowing.
“We’re just laughing at the articles in the Playwizard we snatched from Lee,” Ivy said as she pointed at one of the articles.
“That and the bad breast enlargement charm the girl used. I mean, those can’t be natural,” Rose said as she pointed at the moving picture that was trying to cover her breasts and failing miserably on account of their size.
“Why not?” Harry asked as he stepped out of the closet to look at the magazine they were giggling over.
“Because Sandy was two years ahead of us, and her breasts were a B cup at best,” Ivy explained as she swung her legs around and walked over to the bookshelf. “It should be right,” she bent down and grabbed the fifth year defensive spell book, “here. You didn’t even look, did you?”
“Sorry, I guess I missed it,” Harry replied as he checked her out, trying not to look at the naked, red furred fanny pointed in his direction and failing miserably.
Ivy stuck her tongue out at Harry and handed him the book. “Here.”
Rose frowned as she studied her ‘brother’s’ face, wondering if he’d been hit by a confundus charm or something as he was acting awfully shy. “Are you looking forward to taking your OWLs?”
Harry shook his head. “Not really, Hermione is probably going to go into full on crazy mode and our Defense teacher is probably going to suck and possibly attack me again.”
“As long as they’re at least halfway competent and fail, does it matter?” Ivy asked with amusement.
“We could get another Lockhart,” Rose warned.
“Yeah, no thanks, he was a creepy bastard,” Ivy complained. “Now Hagrid on the other hand, it’s a pity he doesn’t fuck students, I’d have some fun with that jackhammer,” she said, doing her best not to crack up laughing at the look on her brother’s face. She’d been saving that one for weeks.
Harry twitched as his brain went places he really didn’t want it to go. “What?!”
Rose frowned slightly as she noticed the horrified look on his face that really shouldn’t be there, they were always making off color jokes, he should be used to it and have shook it off after a few seconds like he usually did. She twisted around and grabbed her wand off their nightstand as she stood up. “Who the hell are you?!” she demanded, pointing her wand at the person pretending to be her brother.
Harry flinched as he realized his sister had her wand pointed at him, almost distracting him from the way her breasts bounced as she gestured with her wand. “Harry James Potter,” he replied, curious if there actually was a local version of him or if she just had memories of one created with this world. ‘How real is this place if it isn’t permanent? Reflections of what could be but think they are?’ His head hurt a little as he tried to wrap his mind around the concept before shaking if off and just deciding to treat them as real.
“My brother has a warped sense of humor, he also doesn’t have issues looking at my bits. So, let’s try this again, who are you?” Rose demanded as Ivy pulled her wand out from behind her ear and pointed it at Harry.
Harry sighed as he realized that bluffing his way out of the situation wasn’t going to work. “I really am Harry Potter, and this is a Shadow Realm I just created.”
“You expect us to believe that?” Ivy asked in disbelief.
“Or understand it,” Rose muttered.
“No, but I can prove it,” Harry said, trying to come up with something that wouldn’t result in them cursing him, outside of just slipping back to the real world, and trying to create another Shadow Realm which may be even farther from what he wanted. Really, except for the nudity and twisted sense of humor they were everything he’d wanted and those traits weren’t exactly repulsive.
“How?” Ivy asked.
“I can open a portal back to my world and you can see for yourself,” Harry suggested, figuring he’d have a better chance to convince them if he could show them the real world and compare it to the blackness outside the window.
“Portal?” Rose asked suspiciously.
“If I’m lying, you can tie me up and call Dumbledore,” Harry offered.
“I’d rather not get in trouble with the Ministry when we only have three weeks before we can legally use magic,” Ivy said thoughtfully, “and at least this is easy enough to disprove.”
“How are you going to open a portal without the Ministry sending us a notice?” Rose asked.
“We should be fine as long as we don’t use magic on the other side,” Harry focused on the back wall of the closet and a permanent doorway to the real world. He sighed in relief as a swirling purple portal appeared against the back wall. “There you are, one portal to reality.”
Rose picked up her pillow and tossed it at the back wall of the closet, testing if it was a trap.
Ivy blinked as the pillow vanished right before it hit the wall. “Okay, point one for the person that might be our brother’s alternate.”
“You’re going first,” Rose said as she pointed toward the closet.
“No problem,” Harry said as he slowly walked into the closet, making sure he didn’t make any sudden moves as they seemed a bit twitchy.
Rose watched the stranger with her brother’s face vanish right into the wall. “What do you think?”
“I think we need to be sure,” Ivy said as she walked into the closet and stuck her hand through the portal. “I doubt someone went to this much trouble for a prank and they could have just stunned us if they were hostile, so he might be telling the truth.”
“Or it could be a prank by the Weasley Twins,” Rose suggested.
“They know we’d murder them in their sleep,” Ivy replied.
“Like that’s stopped them before,” Rose grumbled as she walked through the back of the closet and out of a similar closet into a familiar and yet unfamiliar room that had a single beaten up bed and battered furniture rather than their crowded but comfy little home. “No bunk beds?” she asked as Ivy walked out of the closet.
The twins glanced at each other, their thoughts and memories gaining clarity as they found holes in their world, like knowledge of Hogwarts, yet never having actually gone there. It was like their entire existence had been limited to the bounds of their home.
“I don’t have any sisters in my world,” Harry said. “Also, try to keep your voices down, I really don’t want my aunt and Uncle catching you in the altogether, or being here for that matter.”
“Let me guess, Uncle Sirius didn’t threaten to murder them if they complained?” Ivy asked as she looked around the depressingly plain room, trying to adapt to the thought that reality wasn’t exactly what she’d thought it was just a few seconds before.
Harry shook his head. “No, he’s been trying to keep a low profile.”
Rose turned and noticed the glowing portal in the back of Harry’s closet. “So, how did you learn to make portals?”
“I used a magical crystal and it burned the knowledge of creating Shadow Realms in my head.”
“Shadow Realms?” Ivy asked, curious how you’d burn a spell into someone’s mind as she was fairly sure teachers would love the ability to just implant spells in people’s heads rather than ‘waste’ time teaching.
“Before I explain, we should probably head back to your bedroom.” Harry reached down and picked up the pillow that Rose had tossed. “Also, I’m Harry, I don’t actually know your names.”
“Rose Lily Potter,” Rose said with a smile, seeing that he was her brother even though they had never met before and she could pull all the jokes and pranks on him that she apparently never had before.
“Ivy Alice Potter,” Ivy said, her thoughts following her twins as she tried to decide how to embarrass him first, as he was much shyer than her memories of him suggested he should be.
“As in Alice Longbottom?” Harry asked, recalling one of the notes that had mentioned she was his Godmother.
Ivy shrugged. “Probably, Mum was friends with her in school from what I’ve heard.”
“You don’t remember?” he asked.
Rose shook her head. “We were three and a half when they died, I barely remember Mum’s face and that’s only because of the dementor that tried to kill us two years ago, which may not have actually happened depending on how real our reality actually is, even if we do remember it.”
“My third year, your fifth?” Harry asked, judging by their comment about having only a few weeks to go before they were seventeen.
“Yeah,” Ivy agreed. “I’m just glad we had a decent professor our OWL year.”
“Even if he really should have just transfigured himself new robes rather than wear the falling apart ones he had,” Ivy complained, thinking about their old professor.
“Through the door then I’ll explain,” Harry said as he gestured toward the closet.
Rose rolled her eyes then walked through the portal and out into her room. She stopped and stared in shock when she saw dark void out her window, realizing she’d never really noticed it before. “What the fuck?!”
“I have the ability to create Shadow Realms that change depending on the words I use to create them, my words for this place were twisted sisters,” Harry explained.
“Wait, are you saying you created us?” Ivy asked warily as she walked over and looked out of the window into the dark abyss. Even if it was true it was still something she was having a hard time wrapping her head around.
Rose pulled her gaze away from the empty nothing she could see out the window and focused on Harry. “Explain,” she ordered.
“Shadow Realms are pocket dimensions based on the location I create them and modified by the words I use,” he replied. “I just got the skill, so I’m still learning.”
“So, you say twisted sisters and you get us?” Ivy asked, mentally running through her memories, seeing so many signs that she wasn’t real or hadn’t been until they’d stepped through the portal.
“Basically,” Harry admitted.
“Why create… this?” Rose asked.
“Because I found a rather detailed journal that had timelines of every year I’m at Hogwarts and the first four years were disturbingly accurate, so I needed a safe place to practice magic and people I could trust.”
“How accurate?” Ivy asked.
“They had details I’ve never told anyone, what I saw in the Mirror of Erised and the fact that I’ve been in the Slytherin dorm.”
“Wasn’t Ron with you on that adventure?” Ivy asked, recalling her brother sharing the details with her, though he looked somewhat flat and featureless in her memory now.
“He is a bit of a blabbermouth,” Rose pointed out.
“Which is why he wouldn’t say anything about it, because his ass would be on the line as well. I know I don’t have to follow what is says, because I didn’t have to use any magic against the dementors, but if the rest of the timeline is accurate, Sirius is going to die and a Ministry flunky is going to make my life a living hell, to the point where staying with the Dursleys is a better option.”
“Bullshit!” Rose swore. “Let me see the timeline.”
“I’ll be right back,” Harry said as he headed back to his room to grab the notebook.
“What do you think?” Ivy asked.
“I’m trying to wrap my head around our little brother having the ability to create pocket realms with actual people, like us. I kinda like the fact that he created us, but I’m not sure what that says about him, though it should be fun finding out,” Rose said with a grin, her nipples hardening.
“Put those away before you poke his eyes out,” Ivy scolded her. “He’s… yeah I got nothing. Let’s fuck with him.” She opened the door into the hall and saw it led nowhere, revealing a featureless black void as well.
“Later, first we save him then we molest him, or possibly both at once,” Rose said sitting on the bottom bunk and tossing her wand on the desk. “Let’s concentrate on offing the Death Eaters, everything else we can ease into, since he seems a bit skittish.”
“We could grab a twisted version of Hermione to help loosen him up,” Ivy said with a grin.
“Are you trying to push Harry’s Hermione over the edge?” Rose asked as Harry walked back out of the closet with a notebook. “If she’s anything like our memories, that girl is wound up nearly as tightly as Percy.”
“Why are you planning on messing with Hermione?” Harry asked, fairly sure she wasn’t nearly as bad as Percy.
“I was saying we could grab an exhibitionist version of Hermione,” Ivy teased. “She’d be a good study buddy and could provide some solid motivation to do well.”
Harry shook his head. ”You’re trying to get me killed, aren’t you?” he joked as he handed Rose, April’s notebook. “Just be careful with it.”
“I doubt she’d kill you over it, but we should probably ask permission first.” Ivy sat next to Rose so she could read over her shoulder and pulled Harry down into her lap.
Harry stiffened, but she wrapped her arms around him and pretended not to notice and he soon relaxed, enjoying the closeness.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be careful,” Rose assured him as she opened the notebook and started looking through it, curious about the differences.
“How did Sirius die?” Ivy asked.
“His house elf sold him out to Narcissa Malfoy, mostly because they hated each other. At least according to the notes he did. If the notes are accurate, I might have a way to get on his good side, we’d just need Sirius’s help destroying a cursed locket,” Harry explained, smelling strawberry and wondering who’s shampoo it was.
“Probably worth looking into, house elves can be useful,” Rose said as she flipped through the notebook.
Ivy glanced at the void in the doorway. “Were you going to create the rest of the house or are we going to need to transfigure a chamber pot?”
“I was planning on building it one room at a time, since I have very little control and need the practice,” Harry explained with a yawn. “This is the first permanent place I have created and I didn’t exactly mean for it to turn out like this. Pretty sure I can’t make a place as perfect as this on purpose,” he said as he looked around the comfortable room, its small space shaped by the personalities of the three that lived there.
He could see a few paintings on the wall, one showing the three of them sharing a bath and splashing one another. He could see awards with their names on them, scattered about, for services to the school or academic excellence. He wasn’t sure who contributed what, but it held a comfort and feeling of home that had been missing from his life until now.
“Sounds good,” Ivy said as she snuggled closer to Rose so that she could read the notebook while cuddling her little brother, who looked to be dead on his feet, eyes drifting closed.
