As a fan of the show, I totally understand if you don't involve Jeannie in your videos as often. She's busy and your relationship with her shouldn't always be included in the videos, I hate to think that y'all are having a tough time or feeling the pressure to always record for the channel. As a couple, you guys only have once a week to hang out, obviously, you guys want to spend quality time with each other. As much as I like your cooking videos, I'd suggest to branch out to other dishes (i.e. you did that Zelda game's recipes, it was fun) but only if you guys have the time to do so. My son (who's also a fan of your show), suggests that you may want to do playthrough with shorter games...or even "Indies" game (I know it's not everyone's fave), games like..Doki Doki for example..that is if you want more gaming in your channel. And please do update us more often, not every month, even every other month, man. Totally not bored with knowing what's behind the scene or what you're thinking.

Firstly welcome back! Secondly I agree with Samuel. You both don't need to be in the videos. If you all only get to hang out once a week then keep that time for you and her. Lastly you could do a Sims video. Not like a let's play but you could do funny videos with these games. Also dragon age inquisition could be a change for you. Both the Sims and dragon age have mods but it's a little more work to find them. You also could do a let's play of that new dragon hunter game. That sounds fun!

Yeah, what they said. If Jeannie is only around a little bit, she doesn't need to be on camera. You two enjoy being a young couple (damn now I sound old). Thanks for filling us in on the cooking stuff, I liked those, but it does make sense to not do a ton. As for suggestions: I thought I'd heard about some kind of geeky game themed cook books out there. I've not looked so I might be wrong. Secondly - while your main channels are for Skyrim and Fallout, what about taking some time to post reviews of other games? Spend a day or two playing something, then toss up video on MxR Plays. What else is in your Steam library? You don't even have to stick with a Bethesda thing. You've given them enough free publicity.

Keep doing what you're doing and experiment with new things as you go. Skyrim and Fallout are some of my favorite games, but maybe it's time to look to new ventures. So many new games come out every year reviewing those might be fun. I'm not talking only AAA games, but also indie games.

Been a fan since early days. Your mxr mods weekly will always be my favorite videos cause it's functional and entertaining together, and I've gotten so much enjoyment out of it when I realized what was going on with your YouTube monitizing I was glad I could come here and give my small amount of support for your hard work. That being said I have also enjoyed a lot of the mxr plays videos. The reaction videos aren't my favorite part of that channel, but they are usually sorta fun to watch and quick, like I can watch it during my morning break at work sort of thing so they always get a watch. The actual let's play, like frost mod, or subnautica, those were really fun to watch, and when I have more free time then say a 15 min break and I could choose between reaction and a let's play I'd choose the let's play. And certainly don't feel like you have to pressure Jeannie to be in the videos, if she wants to/has time to be a part of one that's great, but I believe people will still watch and like videos if you go solo. I'm not sure what your future plans are, but you may even consider doing like twitch streams, do mod reviews when you can, but feel free to branch out to other games. We need to know how immersive they all are. Thanks for the update. Edit and p.s. I don't know if you're familiar with YouTubers prank vs prank which was a couple that did YouTube videos together and they ended up breaking up cause the stress of their personal lives being on YouTube was a strain on the relationship that eventually became too much. Obviously I don't know them personally, just going by what they said on their videos, but I have thought a few times I hope you and Jeannie get to have some personal time away from us viewers. Just something to keep in mind

Jeannie's reactions are fun! You guys are doing great. Honestly I don't mind the vlogs with just yourself either. It's hard to try to do all your recording in one day, and I know it's stressful on your relationship too. You guys should just enjoy a day out together too.

Thanks for sharing. With all the YouTube nonsense I hope you figure out a rhythm that works for you, both financially and mentally. I haven't been able to work MxR Plays into my normal viewing schedule with all the other stuff I watch, but in general I think your tone of voice works and is pretty humorous at times. BTW, watching you shoot away I can't not see the jiggles now. Thanks for that.

Hi. I really liked your multiplayer games with Jeannie e.g. battleblock theater or astroneer. Seeing you two play the Sims was great too. I think every game where you can stop after a self set goal would be easier to manage. I didn't like every reaction video, but most of them. Your subnautica let's play was great. To sum it up, you're doing great for me. My only critic point would be, that you just stopped some let's plays without finishing. I like to back up the others, that are saying you two should do what's best for your relationship. I wouldn't mind seeing shorter or fewer videos, if that means the quality is better because you two aren't that stressed. Thanks for the update and your videos! Have a good night.

I just come out and say it. I'm one of the "minor" parts of the MxRPlays viewership, that wants to see you actually play games again. I didn't join a channel called MxR Reacts. Maybe two or three react videos a week would be ok, but when there is only one gaming video a week on the "gaming" channel, I think it's a little understandable that some people are wondering why there is no gaming videos. Sorry love you dude recommend your stuff to all my friend, but this has been bothering me for a couple months now.

Ok so here's the thing, from a logistics and statistics standpoint you guys are doing alright with the reaction videos and whatnot. But from a creativity and fun standpoint, y'all need to be more adventurous. For me personally, if I ever "do" youtube I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want and just get a fanbase that appreciates that. I can definitely tell you that the 858 of us actively supporting you just want y'all to have fun and be happy doing what you love. And I think you'd be surprised at how many people would support anything you do (at least on MxRPlays). MxR mods is probably where it should be right now, with the occasional upload, but Plays just needs to be way more creative in my opinion. Now, that being said, I will still support you for as long as this Patreon is active, and I really do mean it when I say I want y'all to be happy and healthy! Tell Jeanie good luck on her mkat, and I hope y'all have whole lotta fun in the near future!

I created a patreon account just for you! Really enjoy watching your videos since a year or so and I am so glad that you don't give in to youtube and continue doing this! So many other channels I liked became bad in the last time and I think the demonetization might be the reason for at least some of them. Hope you can continue doing what you and your fans love :)

Hey, you're doing awesome MXR, don't worry about that. For videos for the plays channel, give us some more cooking! I think you guys doing one dish meal stuff would be fun and interesting, trying out Bacherlory type foods and such, things that might appeal to and be made by your core audience of sad basement virgins. ;) Also give us some Plays! If nothing else just do some 30 minute intro videos into interesting video games you've found, or are trying to do again. Just nothing too narrativey because those are hard to talk over, I understand. And you're not too monotone! You use your inflections very well to keep your speech interesting. Everything you're doing is working, stay the course, it's all coming together.

Like other folks say - take care of yourself and Jeannie first! And, honestly, the quality will come from that. I personally watch the primary Skyrim and Fallout videos - and then toss a bit of money your way in the patreon stuff. Honestly, if you put up MORE patreon videos, I'd put more into that income stream. Just tossing it out there (as an idea) - if the patreon helps you at all, and if you give an exclusive video per month or whatever, etc - maybe you'd get more Patreon $$ ;) Thanks, Henry - been following you for a few years now, and absolutely love your work!

Hey just a few suggestions: the cooking thing is great, I think that's a great way to get your viewers from mxr mods to subscribe/watch mxr plays videos and gain interest from other people as well. Have you ever considered streaming? It starts off slow but it's something you can do for let's plays and post the videos afterwards just as usual, so it's not a ton of extra work. For the most part we're all happy with any content that involves elder scrolls and fallout content, so maybe incorporating more of that stuff into reaction videos. You can have separate streams/videos with and without Jeannie. People are interested in potentially "playing" games with you and having input on the mod selection each week. Even doing a family friendly mod channel would be cool and I could see it making money/gaining attention. Hope something in here helps, couldn't really think of any other way to support the channel aside from the $5.

Hey mxr, new patreon here. Love the vids. First I have heard of Jeanie's mcat. Can only surmise she's going to apply to med school. My (lifelong) girlfriend went through the physician track. Now, 4 years post residency, she is burnt out and looking for a non-clinical career change, but she's still saddled with massive student loan debt. Just something to think about!

I haven't watched your mxr plays videos for at least 3 months. The only reason reaction videos gets views is because its clickbaity and attracts the wrong audience! I miss your vlog videos and cooking channels too. You could even play games with Jeannie, after all it is called mxr PLAYS. anyway I still want to support you because I still appreciate that you still care about your viewers and I love some of your content. Try bring the good stuff back!

I've been a supported for a long time, though I switched patreon accounts recently (from Monkeydlu to Brother Ming) And I'm finally getting around to check patreon feeds lol, so I finally saw this Anyways, I still love your content, I never even bought fallout 4 and I love your mod reviews. I know you get it all the time, but I also have not played Skyrim in like 6 years and I still love your skyrim mods videos as well. I've loved watching you grow and as a fellow asian american of similar age, I seriously felt like I grew up with you as a college buddy. Yea, I know his time is consumed making content all the time, but even like a text update or just a little more engagement with the patreon community here would probably do him good. Either way, i feel most of the core fans will help out with some form of donation, whether he posts stuff here consistently or not. I think it's all based on how long his YouTube content remains consistent and of good quality.

If there are games you play in between doing Mod reviews and Reaction/Cooking videos, I'd suggest just play them how you normally would and film yourself doing it. Might make it easy to make lots of content with minimum effort. I personally love series like that. Love binge watching all your current content as well :D
