Part 1: The Evolution of 'Never Really Mine' (Patreon)

During this month's online concert, we got to talking about the evolution of my song 'Never Really Mine'. 

After the show, I reached out to my co-writer, Ian Keaggy, and asked if he'd be comfortable with me sharing our original demo. Ian gave his blessing (pretty please keep this demo between us), and as we talked, we realized there are actually TWO demos. 

Today I'm sharing the first stab at "Never Really Mine" with you. 

What you're hearing is the result of a few hours in the studio. We couldn't figure out all the lyrics (hence the random humming), or how to end it (hence the sudden ending) but we recorded what we had that day before we went home.

You probably won't recognize the song in the least. 

It's uptempo. 

It has completely different lyrics. 

It's titled "I Like It Better"...

The only commonality is the verse melody! Next, I'll share the follow-up demo. We get closer to what you know as "Never Really Mine".
