Some of you may have this song in your collection, but in case you don't, I wanted to share it here and tell you a bit about it!

When I moved to Nashville, I had my heart set on making an album on music row with the best musicians possible. After my first successful Kickstarter, I worked with producer Gus Berry to create my self titled record. It was an incredible experience!! Two days in the GORGEOUS Ocean Way studios, with legendary musicians, recording songs that were road tested and true.

The only song on the record that wasn't my own was Crazy Little Thing Called Love. We mostly recorded it at the home studio now that I think about it... but we thought it was a good addition to the record.

Here's where that changed...

One day I was asked to play a board meeting for 10 people at Franklin Theatre in TN. I remember my booking agent was like ummmm "Would you wanna do this? It's a really pretty theatre but it could be awkward." I said yes. I like playing for 10 people! :) Well, it turns out that the head of Sugar Hill Records, Cliff Sullivan, was one of the ten people in the audience. Cliff approached me after my performance and asked if the songs I sang were on the new record I had mentioned. "Yes! They are! Here's a copy of it!"

The next thing I knew, I had a record label interested in signing my new album "Liz Longley". I was ecstatic.

The label was motivated to release this album quickly, since I had already released it 'softly' with my existing fan base. In order to expedite the release, they decided to remove Crazy Little Thing Called Love... that way they didn't have to jump through the hoops of registering a cover song, getting permission, tracking royalties, etc.

So now the only place this exists is on the original copies of Liz Longley, which have different artwork (below), an extra song, a different song order, and 3 songs that have different "mixes" than what ended up being released with Sugar Hill.

But now YOU all have it, no matter when you may have discovered my music. Thank you for being here!

XO - LL
