Early Access: Feels Like Christmas (Patreon)

You're hearing it first! Feels Like Christmas is Track 3 on 'A Little Magic'!

This song is the first Christmas song I ever penned, and it's all thanks to a family in California who chose the "personalized song" on my 2012 Kickstarter campaign! They wanted a song that summed up their Christmas traditions. They told me about Bud's eggnog, butter horn cookies, and their yearly skate on Union Square. I loved trying to capture the details that color their Christmas. I've still yet to try Bud's eggnog... or butterhorn cookies.

This song had been recorded at home in 2012-ish & released on my bandcamp. Some of you were familiar. I was hesitant to re-record it, wondering if we'd all have "demo-itis" (when you prefer the demo over the new recording). Of course, producer Paul Moak took this song to the next level. The strings are stunning, and the piano playing by Charlie Lowell is out of this world. Charlie and I recorded this live, together, and I think that makes this recording all the more special. We were in the moment. Hope it takes you away & makes it feel like Christmas for you! <3
