A testament to their faith and their willingness to seek wisdom

The Temple of Ynja, the goddess of age and wisdom, is a testament to the resilience and determination of her followers. Nestled high in the Clango-Teeth, a narrow but over 400-kilometer-long (250 Miles) mountain range that almost bisects the island of Okuge from north to south, the temple is a marvel of architectural ingenuity and spiritual devotion. The mountains themselves are unique for their columnar structure, reaching skyward for kilometers, casting perpetual shadows at their base. It is as if one is traversing through a towering meadow of stone giants.

The temple was established by Unja Okoya, a devoted follower of Ynja, on one of these towering columns. While it may not be the most inaccessible of places, it is undeniably one of the most breathtaking. The temple's location, high above the ground, offers an unparalleled view of the surrounding landscape, a constant reminder of the vastness of the world and the wisdom that comes with age and perspective.

The monks of Ynja, known for their calm and patience, live in this secluded temple, seemingly competing with other monasteries to establish their abodes in the most inhospitable locations. However, this is not a competition, but a testament to their faith and their willingness to seek wisdom in solitude and hardship. In exchange for their wisdom, they demand much, reflecting the balance of give-and-take that is inherent in the passage of time and the accumulation of knowledge.

The Temple of Ynja is not just a place of worship but a symbol of the enduring pursuit of wisdom, the acceptance of the passage of time, and the beauty that can be found in even the harshest of environments.

  • When using animated Beneos Battlemaps, it's important to be aware of potential health risks, especially for individuals who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy. Some of our maps contain elements that could potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. For instance, lightning effects from storm animations on certain maps simulate strobe-like flashes which could act as a trigger. If you or anyone in your gaming group has a history of epilepsy or seizures, please consult a medical professional before using these animated maps. Additionally, users should take breaks regularly while playing, play in a well-lit room, and avoid playing if they are feeling fatigued or have had little sleep, as this can increase the risk of a seizure.
