When Full30 finally became a lost cause, I gave up publishing there but assumed the archive would survive.  That assumption was incorrect.

Per many requests, have found my local archive drive and restored all 10 episodes of the CETME-L build videos to Vimeo:

Excellent! I hope they don't get yeeted off Vimeo too.

Thank you! I love that series and hope to do something similar once I move to a less restrictive state.

Corey Allhands

WTF? They deleted all but two of the videos?

Anonymous

A nice little micro representation of what will one day become an incredible challenge to future historians... digital documentation can vanish in the blink of an eye. Thanks for uploading again - that was such a fascinating series to watch when it came out, and I returned to it every now and then just to enjoy discussions of The Work.

Would this also be able to be hosted on Utreon? It might be a good project to drive traffic to that provider, but I don't know how their hosting costs compare to Vimeo.

Cleansweep

I wouldn't be surprised if they simply ruined them trying to convert them to their new format/encoding/whatever and just hid them.

MattC10/63

It’s a shame. I always pulled for Full30.

InRangeTV

InRange was there a whole year before going on YouTube. That was a huge mistake.

InRangeTV

Doubt it, I have to pay to host at Vimeo and that changes the relationship.

InRangeTV

Probably, but that's totally par for the course on that platform, sadly.

Guido Schriewer

they are interesting in their way. would be more drawn to a daewoo but.. however they look old and sweet.

I am a bit out of the loop. What happened at full30 I sort of assumed it would be the future for gun content. The website always sucked but then so did fuckutube for a long time

Thomas Nielsen

Man I loved that Series, missed it on YouTube

Know it has been said, but thanks Karl! This shows why you are nearly indispensable. You have to be one of the hardest working content creators out there, you not only make new and very interesting stuff, but also worry about the old stuff that most would just blow off and say "well, it's gone, too bad".

I noticed these were up when i was poking around the InRange site. The kits are $800 MSRP, but out of stock the two times i looked. Honestly some of the steps look they require a little bit of the violence but all-in-all they came out great. Wish we could see them at action match more however there are so many other guns already.

Thomas Nielsen

It is not the series where you and Ian are building the guns from deactivated parts kits? Ians with an Optic?

Thomas Nielsen

Just watched a bit of the part where Ian cuts the upper part off the bolt. They were definetly on YT. I'm not on the other Platforms and I have been following you guys back then. They came up just before the new policies came and then they were taken down ... I watched them 2 times before they were taken down :c) I really enjoy building vids ... 2x with guns :D

Derek Putley

Thanks Karl, it is great to see you taking the trouble to preserve public access to these videos.

Thanks Karl! I loved that series and hope one day to build a CETME kit myself.

Rob Russo

Is there somewhere we can see all the InRange videos?

Vimeo, here in "fly-over country" coupled with the best/fastest (actually, really shite slow as well as confiscatory expensive) DSL totally sucks and is completely unwatchable due to the buffering which reoccurs every few seconds! Why is it InRangeTV aren't no posting more content, more regularity, on places like Utreon??? At least there, they seem to be doing a infinitely superior job of delivering content to us-in's that chooses to live outside of, and well away from the crime ridden, grid-locked, home owners association, stinking postage'stamp sized lot shite'holes euphemistically referred to as "Urban Centers" this as opposed to those slack so-and-so's at Vimeo that it would seem requires one to have available some manner of state of the art ultra light-speed interweb's connection only available in the afore mentioned cesspool's of high density human existence just to view anything on their site! So, why is it you seem to favor Vimeo over Utreon???
