The Mint story is here

Anisa stumbled onto the bus, exhausted after attending a new café opening where MINT, a huge content creator, had been for the grand opening. She’d enjoyed herself immensely even though the whole thing was a bit rocky. Mostly because MINT had recently mutated, growing extra arms, and since she didn’t have a lot of control over them she wound up squeezing her breasts and squirting milk all over her boyfriend. Or at least that’s who Anisa assumed that guy was. Even though it was a bit awkward she couldn’t help finding it slight amusing as well. “I wish my mutation was a simple as hers,” Anisa thought.

She looked at herself in the reflection of the window, her single huge eye looking back at her. She was not only a cyclops, but her entire skin was pink. Three horns came out of her head, her hands only had three fingers, and there were only two toes on each foot. In addition, she was incredibly flexible, almost a human rubber band, among other mutations.

"I'm a fucking alien. At least in the mall people don't pay much attention to it, unlike in old land,” she commented listlessly to no one. She lived in a more remote sector of the city, inhabited by older and more prejudiced people. A particularly difficult environment when your mutation was this noticeable. If only finding a new apartment at a good price wasn’t so hard she would have left that place a long time ago.

When the bus pulled up to her stop Anisa rushed off, walking as quickly as her high heels would carry her. She didn’t want to run into anyone, she just wanted to get home. Before reaching her door, she fished her keys out of her bag, but froze when she saw her door. A note had been taped to it. “Go back to your home planet, alien,” it read. Anisa ripped it off her door and balled it up. She recognized Mrs. Garrison’s handwriting. “Damn mutaphobic old woman,” she spat quietly as she walked into her apartment, dropped her purse on the floor, and flopped face down on her bed.

“Shitty people,” she thought. “I don't get into their boring lives, why should I put up with them getting into mine?” Without moving her body Anisa turned her head around 180 degrees to stare at the ceiling. Though eventually her eyes fell to her own body. "Well, at least I have a nice ass seen from here", she laughed, trying to be positive.

She was about to fall asleep like that when she heard someone knock on her door. She rolled her body over so that it was facing the same direction as her head, then sat up completely alert. "Who would that be at this hour?" she wondered to herself. "I swear if it's that old piece of shit I won't hold back this time."

She peered through the peephole, wary. It wasn’t Mrs. Garrison though. It was the young guy who had moved in a few weeks ago. Ned, she thought his name was.

Anisa opened the door keeping the chain on. “Yes, what do you need?” she asked with a listless tone.

“H-hi, I didn't mean to bother you,” Ned said. “It's just… I found this piece of paper lying around and…”

“And you wanted to check if I hadn't returned to my planet yet?” Anisa said sarcastically, though even to her own ears she could hear a sad note in her voice.

"Of course not! Don't get me wrong, I just wanted to tell you that I find this terrible," Ned said. "I've only been here two weeks and I've noticed that the people in this building are a bit… ehh…"

"Old and prejudiced?" Anisa said.

"Well yeah…"

“I've been putting up with that for two years. If one day the whole building burns down, you know why,” said Anisa.

“Two years is a long time,” Ned said scratching his head. “I'm really sorry.”

“And what do you think?” Anisa asked as she stared at him with her single eye.

“Of course, I don't think that. Let me show you," Ned opened his wallet and took out a photo. It showed him, noticeably younger, perhaps in high school, next to a dark-haired girl with horns, hooves, and extra arms. Behind them stood an adult couple, an ordinary guy along with a very tall woman with four breasts and dragon features. “This is my family. I know what you may be going through.”

Anisa looked at the photograph and felt somewhat relieved. That was the first time anyone in her building had shown her any kind of empathy.

"Wow, these are awesome. Your mother and sister are very pretty,” Anisa said "I'm sorry if I came off a little abrasive."

“Hey, I completely understand. You don’t need to apologize to me,” Ned said. “I just wanted to say that I fully understand and support you. I don't want to keep interrupting your break though. Just wanted to pop by and say hi."

“W-Wait!” Anisa said almost without thinking. “Would you like to come in for coffee and chat for a while?”

"Oh! Yeah, coffee sounds great,” Ned replied.

Anisa closed the door to remove the chain. Though as she did, she fixed her hair and adjusted her shirt. It wasn’t everyday she came across a guy who wasn’t terrified of her, after all. Maybe she could make an actual friend…or more.

They had coffee and talked for a long time. Anisa commented on how hard it was on her to be born a mutant. Ned told her about his sister and everything she went through in her childhood but thanks to the support of her family she had managed to accept her body.

“I would have liked to have had more support from my family,” Anisa lamented. “They always saw me as a problem. I don't mind being a mutant, but I wish it had been a little tail or an extra breast, something I could hide if I wanted to."

“There is nothing wrong with your mutation. What’s wrong is the people who see it as a bad thing,” Ned said as he sipped his coffee.

"Yeah, I know. But really being pink with a HUGE eye kinda makes me stand out."

"True. But it's not your fault or your mutation’s that these shitty people can't admire your beauty,” said Ned.

“Do you find my mutation beautiful?” Anisa asked, averting her eyes as she blushed.

“Well, you’re definitely pretty, there's no doubt about that,” Ned said, blushing as well. He coughed a bit and sipped his coffee again, a little surprised by the direct question.

"Even though I don't have a nose?" Anisa said pointing at her own face.

"In spite of that. Though now I'm curious about how you breathe," Ned said.

"Partly by my mouth of course, but also by my pores and my horns," Anisa replied.

"Well, that's interesting," Ned said as he looked at her in wonder.

Seeing Ned's genuine interest made Anisa feel more beautiful than she had in a long time. “Let me show you something!” Anisa stood up facing Ned, and rotated her waist 360 degrees, until she made a complete turn. "I am also very flexible."

“Oh, wow! That’s pretty cool. It must be amazing for… you know…”

"Sex?" Anisa answered almost without thinking.

“I was going to say yoga… but yeah, sure… It would be great for sex, too.”

Anisa went from having a pink hue to a very bright red one. “Sorry, I'm a little tired and spoke without thinking,” she said.

“Don't apologize, it’s been fun hanging out,” Ned said with a laugh. “It's great to have met you. I hope that we can hang out again, but I really should get going. I have to work early tomorrow."

“Y-yes, me too,” answered Anisa a little sad that the visit was over.

"And where do you work?" Ned asked.

“I work in a design office, on the corner of State Street and Park Avenue.”

“Oh, that’s only a couple blocks from where I work! If you want, tomorrow after work we could get drinks.”

"I’d love to!” Anisa answered, a huge smile on her face.

They exchanged phone numbers before saying good night. “I'll call you around 6:00 p.m.” Ned said as he walked out the door.

"I'll be waiting," Anisa said.

“Well, I didn’t score tonight, but there will be other chances to,” Anisa said to her empty apartment. “Although I'm so horny that I think I'll just score with you today,” she said to her fingers.
