Alright! Here are the vending machines I made in the previous post, plus a couple extra. I have a few more floating around I might add to this file over time, but most of them are pretty clunky, so... we'll see.

Huge thanks to Nate Taylor for taking these textures for me while on vacation in Japan.

Fabulous, I want to make one work, put me in the scene, grab a snack too. Sounds like I'd need help with that, any takers?

Ian the vending machine took you 30 mins ...how long did the train and towing car took you .....Am in love with your train and towing car... if in future you every do it again please let me know....just finished Door modeling and now trying the vending machine ....thanks in advance

IanHubert

I don't remember how long the train took, except it was an evening and a bit of the next afternoon. Not too long! And oh! Did you just watch the video, or did you actually do it??

i watched twice and modeled the door scene and vending machine scene ...i just don't know how to or where to post or send you the pics ......i think your modeling Technic is really a game changer ....i have not seen anywhere the easy use of knife tool and project from view and then extrude and bevel.....am telling you this kind of modeling is really refreshing and easy to follow and build fast assets.....

Next is to see how to scene build this in blender or after effect and comp everything thing together .....

Ian! Whenever I use the knife tool, unless I'm in orthographic mode, it does crazy remeshing on the surface of geometry, even if it's just a plane. Adding all sortsa weird useless edges and lines. If I'm in ortho, it works as expected, and as it does in your videos... any idea what might be causing that? No worries if not, love your work always!

IanHubert

AH! Does it only add the lines after you "apply" the cuts? Because that's normal! I think it tries to make sure all the different bits of mesh are connected somehow, so if you're cutting out a small piece in the middle, it'll add an edge connecting it to the border mesh. It means by the time I'm done I usually have a few big extra chunks, but it only takes a couple seconds to delete them! I usually just ignore them.

I hope it's not just me, but the link doesn't appear to be working, It just opens and closes itself instantly for me. EDIT: I'm dumb, right-click, save as.
