By way of comparison, here's my usual sketching technique. I think this one has a lot of expressiveness too, so I also really like this. But it's good to try out other techniques and stuff.

This started as just a generic pose. I considered making it Pulsar, but I've drawn him in similar poses already recently. As sometimes happens, I'll do a sketch, and then decide what to make it later.
