My first real venture into "professional" animation started with this character, Soybean. A cross inspiration of Chuck Jone's Looney Toons style and just cute anime girls.  I was single minded, make an animation that will knock people's socks off. That was literally my goal.

I quit my studio job at Revolutions Studio and for months, I'd work on the animation and when I wasn't working on the animation, I was playing video games. Nothing else. I got pretty skinny. When the animation was complete, it got me every job I ever wanted from there on out. First working on the Puffy Ami Yumi Show and then at Artix Ent. Because I decided to focus a little bit on what I wanted to create.

I figure I'll post some of my sketches from this timeline for the next couple weeks. Even as I look back at the stacks of sketches now, it's still some of my best work. That says something good and bad. The good is, I was truly in my element creatively at that time. The bad, I didn't evolve my art much from that point. Akumi was a slight upgrade but then I stayed there.

Anyway, I still enjoy sexy art and I want to do more of it. But lets take a look back at where it all began.  I'm taking things one day at a time. When I feel inspired, I'll post some more sexy art. And if I want to expand on it more than I can here, we'll continue the expansion on Subscribestar.

Onwards and Upwards my friends,

Is soybean the name of the character in this picture or the show involving this character?

Honestly she has always rivaled Akumi for favorite spot of your characters for me. :)

It was the name of the character. Soybean drinks we're and still some of my favorite sweet drinks. You can usually only buy canned soybean drinks in an Asian market.

I can understand that, I put sooo much in to this character preproduction wise. I'll post the sketches soon so you can see how she got started.
