Okay serious comment. Thx for your thoughtfulness during this episode. You, as always, raised some good points. Simon w/his mom broke me. Omar acted the crap out of that scene. All of the actors are bringing it this season. Felice w/her dad broke me too. Just damn. Gave me flashbacks of my own. I guess black kids all over the world have heard the “work 10x harder” speech from their parents at some point. I was just hoping we were getting closer to not having to hear/do it? But alas. 💜💜💜 woof, this season.

Ok, there is a lot to say about this episode, and I did cry at a couple of scenes when I first watched it. But as a Swedish choir singer, I cannot help but focus on the fact the we got to hear not only Längtan till landet (Vintern rasat), but also Vårvindar friska, and Uti vår hage. We got the Lucia episode in season 1, but this was even more representation of traditional Swedish choir songs! Those are three of my favorite spring songs, very fitting for the context!
