Just wanted to give you a little update on the Alpina and share some pictures of the engine rebuild.

We are starting with a bare block and reassembling the complete engine. Since it's not as simple as slapping parts together, it's going slowly as I'm triple-checking everything along the way to make sure it's assembled properly and all clearances are on point.

So far it's going great. Main bearings and rod bearings clearances are all within spec. Piston rings too, although I had to enlarge the gap on the top rings.
All 8 pistons are back in the block and it's turning over beautifully.

I installed a new oil pump, new chains and guides, and that's the progress so far. Tomorrow I'm going to vapor blast the lower timing cover and once reinstalled, it's time for the heads to reunite with the block.

Still quite a lot to do, but I'm hoping to have the engine fully assembled on the stand towards the 2nd half of the upcoming week and then I can start editing the video.

The idea is to have a full engine rebuild in this video and then in the following one, bolt back the transmission and jam this thing back into the car for the first start, but we'll see how it goes.

Meanwhile, the last video of the defunct BMW dealership in Spain went crazy viral and it already got over 1 million views! It hit the news all over the internet and got translated into multiple languages. I always had a feeling this video could do well, but damn! Best performing video within the first 2 weeks to date on the channel.
Also, no change when it comes to buying some of the cars there. I'm quietly waiting to see if something changes, but I'm doubtful and to be honest, it's not like I don't have enough projects. :)

As always, thanks for your patience and for your support! Broken Alpina and I thank you for your contribution!
