Project Marbais is coming home! (Patreon)

This special E30 is coming to Frankfurt!

Yesterday we went to Marbais and meet Sébastien and Michel. Wonderful people and amazing experience, Sébastien even surprised me with a basket of beers! How lovely is that!
Michel is the original owner of this classic E30, bought in July 1983 and delivered on 15th October 1983. Original purchase invoice and complete service history included! He used it as a daily for many years, then around the 2000s, he had the rust removed and repaired and stopped using it in winter. He then used it on rallies across Europe, was part of BMW club Belgium and took it around famous European race tracks with his wife. His wife sadly passed away and he wasn't motivated to continue using it and the car sat.

Obviously, he is emotionally attached to his E30 and was not easy for him to let it go and I feel honored that he picked me as the future custodian. Michel wrote me a wonderful letter, told me many interesting facts about the car, how he drove it and used it. He also added the sport seats and M-tech steering wheel.

We agreed that once fixed up the car and it's registered, Michel and Sébastien will come to Frankfurt so he can reunite with his E30 and drive it.

The car is in overall really solid shape, more details will follow in the video. I'm trying to arrange to have it picked up and delivered next week and immediately start wrenching on it as I'm hoping it won't need a ton of work and I can get it on the road somewhat quicker than usual. Can't wait!

After we left Marbais, we went to Gent where I met Pierre, who owns some really cool BMWs, E31, E24 M635csi, several E21s... and used to run E21 forum. He gave me some awesome rare parts for project Castellon, original E21 Recaro seats, 3-spoke steering wheel, rear deck without holes and Haynes repair manaul! Incredibly nice person.

We only had a couple of hours to see Gent and it's a beautiful city. Definitely planning to back there again.
