Meet project Marseille! This poor E31 has been rotting in a garden in Southern France for the last 10 years and now it's getting a second chance with yours truly. Condition is pretty much what I expected and seems like a solid foundation overall. Projects update at the end of the video!

Garden Find 6-Speed V12 BMW E31 850i Revival - Project Marseille: Part 1

This beautiful Calypso red E31 850i was left to rot in Southern France for the last 10 years. It was sitting outside in a garden all this time and that took its toll on the poor 8er. I bought it sight unseen and in this episode, we go over the condition of the car as the time has come to bring this forgotten legend of the '90s back to life! Projects update at the end of the video and some exciting news too! These post midnight releases do nothing for my work day tomorrow 😂

I try to get the brochure when I get a new car but I tend to keep them when I sell a car.

Excellent & congrats on the job front. Will you be taking IT questions from Patreons on the fly now?

Great Video, If you need a fast touring I will trade you my F11 for your E60, I need a US spec car to take back to California with me...!

Hey! Sending the car somewhere near Germany, like Poland for example, where prices for a complete paint job are much lower is not an option? Can’t wait to see whatever comes next! Now I am off to prepare for the national tryouts for spare wheel jumping now. See ya!

Yes, would be much cheaper but I'd need to find someone I can trust and then there are shipping costs... but we'll see, maybe I just make it 100% mechanically and leave paint for later.

One possible solution to the high cost of painting it, would of course be to fix the mechanical and sell it to me so that I can fix the interior and paint... Seems like a win win to me... Additional bonus point would be that you do not need to get it through TUV or replace the front lights since I would need to do that in NWY again anyhow... (And yellow is ok as long as they are E-marked in norway)
