So... how much should a class cost in your opinion? should a more advanced class cost more than a basic class?

I personally think it makes sense for basic classes to be cheaper than more advanced classes, but that may be just me.

I think it would be cool if there was a realistic option where it would cost you £50,000 to go to university

Definitely think distinguished degrees should cost more. Prices should be per class. I want my sims to have some debt and feel the pain! Lol

Brodie Smart

Definitely more expensive. And classes that require more equipment or more advanced equipmemt also should cost more, like robotics courses because shit's expensive

distinguished degrees are a problem unfortunately, because they change based on university but as far as I can tell there is nothing in the tuning to separate them from the others.

given that the average cost per credit is $600 in the US and that the average number of credits per class is 3, id go with $1,800 simoleons per class. granted, there are plenty of other simmers who are outside of the US so they may not wanna suffer like that lol

To be honest in my country the university is expensive (min ~1500€) considering the average incomes/month from work (~500€) . So.. for a normal family need to save lot of money if want to send the "child" to university. IF I want some realism in sims then I think X 3 or X 5 would be nice BUT mods like that better if we got some alternate versions like X 2-5-10. It depends on how much you want to suffer.(or your sim :D ) (Sorry for bad english )

I kind of think of the distinguished degrees as the Sims version of Ivy League, since there are only the two colleges, so logically, I think they should cost more and that was a missed opportunity by EA. From what you said above, there's nothing really to be done about it, though. I don't think classes should cost more, but I definitely think supplies for classes should have different prices. Like books. I double-majored in Lit and Philosophy and I spent more on books and accessories (idk what else to call a required-for-this-specific-class typewriter) than, say, an economics major. My books often cost as much as half the total of my tuition for an entire semester (i.e. I pay $1000 for classes and *then* I have to spend at least $500 on books on top of that). Since the Sims seems to have adopted the model my school did - forcing you to buy your books from them instead of being able go anywhere cheaper, I think the books should have different prices and that some classes should require more than one book and different supplies (as an aside, I wish they had used textbooks. It's a tiny detail, but, to me it adds a lot). Basically, I want to see my sims robbed blind and live off of naps, water, and lollipops they steal from the bank just like I did. With no sleep and not enough hours in the day to get everything done. And also bad professors. Just professors that were arrogant and terrible at teaching and took joy in failing their students. Bad professors. Wow, I guess I forgot how much ~fun~ college was. Carry on, all. tl;dr There should definitely be a price difference, but I think it should come from books and supplies, if that's possible. And my sims should come out of the experience drowning in debt and potentially scarred for life.

I was thinking regular degrees are undergrad and distinguished degrees as graduate. Even though they are al a BS/BA. I think $960 per class (3 * $320 per credit) for regular degrees and $1,860 per class (3 * $620 per credit) for distinguished degrees. I didn't make the cost up. I used out of state tuition from CUNY college. I think it is a far middle of the road price. Even though money is easy to get now one should have to pay $20,000 per term. If you do make a mod to increase the prices I hope you also increase the scholarship amounts. Good luck

Zero did. I asked if they could scale the scholarships if they raised the tuition prices and they just whipped a mod for higher scholarships up out of thin air in, like, an hour. I was thinking, oh, whenever Zero can get around to it, if they're willing, maybe a couple days. I come back from sorting my mod folder and testing and there was the scholarship mod. Amazing. I think Zero might be a secret ~Spellcaster~
