Awh shit, you're watching dub? Ugh. I mean, it's not terrible for this (still rather cheesy-sounding), but damn I was expecting Japanese with subs for an anime movie. Oh well. Le sigh. I'll make sure I specify for next month's movie suggestions.

I watched this for the first time when I was like 6 or 7 because my folks bought it, thinking it's a kids movie. It scared the hell out of me but I still had to admit that it was awesome. Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice to see another person who has this has their favorite movie. Its definitely my favorite animated film ever since my childhood, not just due to nostalgia, but I just think its that good, and it somehow continues impacts me to this day, no matter how many times I watch it.

Decided to watch this after seeing the Japanese version on my own to see you react to the actual events. The voice acting for the minor characters and that short old geezer are atrocious, but it's alright for some of the other characters. The one voice I like more in the dub is the wolf mother.

The English script is hella weird. When I watched it they didn't make it seem like he got exiled, or at least not in the same way they make it out to be here, but rather he just had to go on a long journey. Like, the line, "you are dead to use forever" was not there lol. That was kinda harsh, imo that's a heavy mistranslation.... prime example of meaning getting lost in translation between Japanese and dub. Lmao they had to use "Spirit of the Forest" because "Dear God" has the 'G' word. XD "Sweet nothings?" Bruh, it's a lovers quarrel lmao. "One" or "wine?" It was actually sake in the original, which idk what's so difficult about that to say in English. Lol.
