Joypad (Patreon)

Joypad is the first installment of WHORE WAR. It’s a fictional fighting game.   The series is dragging trance into the current century.

Each version will do a distinct induction style for gaming oriented hypnosis action. The character select menu and nature of the game will continue to evolve as the series progresses.

I am excited about the series and this in particular for two reasons.

First, it’s a much needed update. Far too much mind control and hypnosis is rooted in tropes and ideas from postwar America or the nineteenth century. (Sorry, no one carries pocketwatches anymore.) But if you try to explain trance states to anyone under 40 – the most relatable experience is definitely video games.

Secondly, it’s the first primary voice acting I’ve done for a hot minute.

The costars recorded in a live Discord session, giving the trance and experience an authenticity and immediacy you might not find in a pure pastiche of voiceovers.
