I think addressing the health issues with advancing age helps with starting conversation about it. If you try to live your life as if in your 20s, the problem is masked, and most people won't want to bring it up, or feel awkward when you want to talk about your advancing age. This can also draw people who can't cope with their own aging process. For me, the fear of missing out and the abandonment anxiety were two factors that delayed making changes my body needed as I aged. But, after, I had more energy, and people who understood when I made demands for adjustments or re-scheduling.
