One more thing, I didn't like the Wolf of Wall Street either. It's basically a porno of what "success" looks like to a certain, overwhelmingly male, demographic. People who claim the film was criticizing the protagonist are either confused or lying. It's 100% presenting him as a certain kind of idealized male fantasy, one where you can behave as badly as you want, get as wasted as you want, have sex with as many women on your own terms as you want, and suffer no serious consequences. People are supposed to fantasize about how fun those drug benders would be, which is why it's portrayed that way. So-called legitimate media and porn overlap in way more ways than most people care to admit, but it's rarely been so obvious as with that movie. You're literally watching a two hour porno about how great being a crooked ibanker would be.

Rich people especially in Seattle are usually low-key, maybe, you’ll see it in their car and house, but very rarely you’ll see them flaunting it. I know people who are multi-millionaires and they stay multi-millionaires because they spend money on things that make them more money like real estate and businesses, not things to impress people. It’s a red flag to me whenever I see people having expensive cars and being dressy/flashy, but they don’t own a home or have a real job. It’s kinda gross in a way
