Thank you for making this episode. Very important subject. One of the most common causes for provoked vestibulodynia is endometriosis. Endometriosis is one of the most common diseases in women (1 out of 10) and also takes roughly 7 or more years on average to reach diagnosis because women are told that the pain is in their head, or to just try lube, or to just relax. Yes, even doctors do this. It's usually the 7 year mark that a doctor finally agrees to do a laparoscopy and finds endometriosis causing all of her pain. As common as this disease is, there is no common awareness of this disease, and even doctors only brushed by it in medical school (hence why it's not one of the first things considered when a patient comes in with symptoms if endometriosis).
